Sunday 30th Sep - (home)

Was pretty tired today from the last two nights of alchohol abuse so tried to keep it a quick workout. Was suprised to see that i smashed my reps PB from wednesday on bench.

Bench:
50kg - 10
55kg - 9,7 (great improvment from wednesday)
57.5kg - 5,3

Front Rows:
40kg - 7,6,5,5

MP:
32.5kg - 7,5,5,5

Close Bench:
32.5kg - 8,8,5

 Body Weight - 75kg
Bench - 140kg
Squat - 180kg
Deadlift - 180kg

    Great judo lesson today as very few people turned up!. Three instructors and only 6 people so was like a private lesson between the pairs. Was good as i was paired with my mate this week so i could go pretty hard on him and not feel bad :D unlike last week as i paired with a women, not being sexist but it doesnt feel right choking em lol. No throws, no sparring, just learning some great ground moves and counters.

    No lifting so heres today diet:

    Breaky - Whey/creatine shake. Big bowl of oats+stawberries+blue berries+seeds+flax seed.

    Lunch 1 - Chicken tika beguete.

    Lunch 2 - Pasta in pesto + chicken breast

    Lunch 3 - Big bowl of oats+stawberries+blue berries+seeds+flax seed.

    Lunch 4 - Pasta in pesto + chicken breast

    Dinner - Two beef burgers + rice + slice of bread

    Pre WO - Whey/creatine shake

    JUDO!

    Post WO - Whey shake

    Dinner 2 - Beef burger

    Bed snack - Some fruit

          WKD day at the gym. Got a compliment from two big black guys today, one a personal trainer, saying i was looking good for mi age and they were impressed with my routine from what they could see. He also showed me a great stretch to do after deadlifts which really hits the lower back.


          Tuesday 2nd Oct - (gym)

          Wide pull ups:
          12(fast) 9,8,7(slower)

          Deads:
          90lb (max bar in my gym) - 12,12,12,12 - Did them with a short break between sets as they were kinda easy.

          Seated Rows:
          54kg - 10
          61kg - 8,8

          Rear rows:
          45kg - 10,10
          55kg - 6

          BB curls:
          60lb - 5,5,5,5

          Abs - a few sets of hanging straight leg, raises. Much than the bent leg ones, really hit the abs hard. Some cable crunch things.

          Forearms

            FIRST EVER MUAY THAI SESSIONS TODAY. Had a wkd time.

            The warm up got me more tired than i have been in years. 100s of fast push ups, sit ups, jumps etc. I was thinking to myself.. how the fauk am i guna last till the end of this lessons. We did 5-10 mins of stretching which got me pretty well recovered. Then got out the pads and practiced left leg jabs and then right ones. Im left footed so my partner seemed to be getting pushed back more with the left than the right which may be an advantage if i was too get great technique with the left and not even bother with the more offencive right jabs. Then went on to learn when to block with a leg jab and how effective it actualy is.. Even through the pads you could feel it really smacking your stomach so its amazing to see these thai fighters take the leg jabs to the stomach like there nothing. I think a good leg jab to my stomach would finish me off at this point. Alot of emphasis on stomach strength at the end of lesson again with some harcore variations of sit ups.

                Nice journal jack, what fed of judo are you in BJC or BJA? I have been in both and find the fighting a higher standard in BJA. Groundwork in my Fav but i've not do it now for about 4 years. Looks like you have got a good shape to start to add some good mass too be carefull not to over train you need rest as much as anything else. only train each bodypart once a week but make sure thats it is intense and with the judo(as you know groundwork is very very hard on the body) etc... thats more than enough

                any gradings coming up?

                  Not sure about that, i havnt been doing it long. I had two classes with the juniors but just battered them lol. So went to adults with my mate who is a green belt. I have been in the adults group about 4 weeks nows. I like ground more to. I beat my green belt friend most of the time when we do ground work and also do ok with the adults. Where as i know very few throws so find it tougher in standing sparring. Its great fun though, and very rewarding if you pull off a groun move you learnt that day!

                        Ye i was going to start a huge collection but stopped drinking it when i started taking creatine. After your warm up it seems to kick in just as much as a red ball. I still have the odd one if im tired though. And the big JD bottle if im really tired

                                Finsbury park or finsbury? I used to in finsbury park. Didnt get jacked as much there, but i was younger so.. Its mainly a crack head place rather than a youth run area.

                                Na, there fixed weights mate... im a member of a circle of gyms in my area and the're all ****! All have max bars of 45kg. No seperate weights.. There all fixed. Im thinking when i surpass this weight with ease in alot of my lifts, il set up a home gym or something.

                                      I would if i knew a better gym. What gym do you go to? Im basically a member of all the gyms in islington run by 'aqua tera'. Know any good gyms in our area?

                                        My weekend of drinking and staying at mates houses messed up my diet and routine abit but im trying to make up for it by stuffing myself!


                                        Anyway did Back/bi's today. Started with deads and was going to go on to do legs but squats would have been **** with the hard deads.


                                        Sunday oct - (home)

                                        Deads: (first time i have ever lifted 'heaveyish' on deads before as my gym only has 45kg BB's. Very tiering compared with any other lift)
                                        60kg - 10,9,8,8

                                        Shrugs:
                                        60kg - 12,12

                                        Pull ups:
                                        10,8,6

                                        DB rear rows:
                                        21.5kg - 10,10,10,14 (last set was fast reps)

                                        DB curls:
                                        12.5kg - 16 (8 each arm), 10,10,8
