Drill-hall instruction, weekend exercises and all other TA training are to stop for six months -
They still do pre-deployment training.   But honestly, I see no problem.  If they want to create a fuss about it, then just join the REAL army.

Haven't updated my time for a bit.  I concentrated on cardio from early spring, right through summer this year.  I could get my mile and a half down to 9mins 40 seconds.  Honestly don't think I'd get it down any further, it was a killer when finished.

Are you taking the p**s 10m sas selection ha!!!
When i started my basic training MY run time was around 9.40, but by the time I finished it was 8.20, but this was far from the best depends what regiment you join.

Had another BPFA test on Monday.  New unit and all that.

            Results:

            2mins pushups:  96
            2mins situps:  65
            1.5 mile run:  9.50

CHuffed with the pushups, although my run time has gone down a bit.

Couldn't sleep so decided to give this a go, 10.15 for my first attempt. Really disappointed at that but for the last few months I've been running 3 - 4 10k's a week so suddenly trying to run fast was a shock to the system! Sure I can get well under 10 mins next time.

Well maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself then! I notice your recent time is 9.50 and you say this is a little slower than it has been, I also noticed in your journal that your bulking, do you find the extra weight you're carrying makes a big difference?
