1st Prohormone cycle diary/review; Hero Powermag. 25 January 2012 20:28 (permalink)
Gonna start a review of what is my first PH cycle to help keep track of progress and hopefully help others in a similar situation.
The PH im running is Hero Powermag @ 75mg a day for 40 days (today is day 11 of cycle).
I pre-loaded Hawthorn Berry @ 1130mg a day for 7 days prior to the cycle starting, for days 1-10 i took 1130mg Hawthorn Berry & 1400mg Milk Thistle (1120mg Silymarin).
Day 11 thru til the end of the cycle i will be running CEL Cycle Assist.
My PCT will be Nolva @ 20/20/10/10 & DA-A or another test booster.
As ive mentioned i am now on day 11 and have yet to notice any sides or, as of yet, any increase in terms of weight gain or strength.
Im currently training 4 times a week with a chest/tri's, shoulders/abs, back/bi's & legs/abs split....limiting cardio to 15mins each session (5min warm-up, 10mins at the end).
Im about 5ft 10" and started the cycle at 173lbs.
My daily diet is about 3500cals with a protein/carbs/fat split of roughly 45/35/20.
One thing im considering doing is upping my calories to around 4000 a day by adding a weight gainer shake instead of or alongside one of my smaller meals, or if gains still dont come reducing the cycle to 35 days & running days 20-35 at 100mg a day.

          Yeah no strength as of yet, my lower back has been giving me trouble this past week so had to watch what i was doing during my shoulder workout yesterday as didnt want to stress it, shoulders are a weak point for me & seem to lag behind everyting else so its one area im looking to up the weight on........hopefully this back pain will clear up soon so i can go full-bore again, back/bi's tomorrow so will still have to take it easy i think & stick to lighter weight more volume.
          Oh yeah, weighed myself when i got up & put on 2lbs, its a start...just ordered some powdered oats so gonna bring my cals up to around 4000 a day with the inclusion of a weight gain shake and take it from there.

              Do you think that maybe i just dont respond to P-Mag, or this dose of it? Seriously thinking about upping to 100mg, worked out with the 2 tubs i can run 16 days at 75mg then 18 days at 100mg giving me a 34 day cycle, on day 13 now so think im jut gonna up the dose as of tuesday.
              I dont actually feel like im taking anything as ive not experienced the start of any sides and my strength is the same as when taking 5g a day of creatine. To top it off i weighed myself when i woke up & ive actually dropped down to 172lbs, a pound under my starting weight, even tho ive been really strict with my diet?? If i up the cals too much i will just end up putting fat on as those extra cals will be mainly carbs, 3500 cals should be enough for someone my size? Im eating plenty of protein...350g a day most days.

                Idk,maybe drop the 10mins cardio at the end of workout,weight loss could just be water,maybe up the water intake as well.i would be tempted to up it to 100mg.

                  Im drinking 4-5 litres of water a day, think i might up my carbs & fats slightly too as just logged in yesterdays intake....works out at 3700 cals with 48/36/16 protein/carbs/fats. Trying to keep the gains pretty lean tho.
                  Cutting out the 10 mins cardio will save me about 600cals a week.

                    350g/day, are you sure!!!, no one needs that much even arnold.
                    4000 cals a day way over the top IMO.
                    You would put weight on with that amount taking nothing just training hard.

                      This is yesterdays diet;
                      Meal 1; 4 eggs, 2 rounds toasted burgen bread
                      Pre-workout; 1 scoop whey
                      Post-workout; 2 scoops whey, 1 scoop dextrose
                      Meal 2; 250g chicken, peppers, 140g rice
                      Meal 3; 1 scoop whey, banana
                      Meal 4; 200g chicken, medium baked potato, tangerine
                      Meal 5; 200g chicken, 140g rice, banana
                      Meal 6; 135g tuna, 150g potato salad
                      Meal 7; 1 scoop casein, 1tbsp peanut butter
                      Works out at about 3700 cals & 350g protein
                      Been eating like this for past 2 weeks (since start of cycle) and not put on any weight???

                          Hang on a minute, you've only been on this diet for TWO WEEKS, sometimes it takes longer than that for any body reaction at all, drugs or not.
                          Do not go up yet if at all, give it a chance.
                          If you want instant results it aint going to happen.

                            Ive been eating similar to this for months now.....i just havent bothered working out calories & macros until the start of this cycle.
                            On a previous thread I logged my diet in before the cycle started on myfitnesspal, it came back at 3600 cals 45/35/20 P/C/F.
                            This varies slightly daily because of work comitments and the hours im awake, the above diet was just an example of one day from this week.
                            The thing is i havent put much weight on since i started training just under 2 years ago, maybe 10lbs, hence the decision to run a prohormone. My body has changed & got bulkier & more toned/defined, ive definitly added muscle....just not that much change when i step on the scales

                                      Thats a rough example, sets and reps will change depending on how i feel and how my body is reacting.....i take each bodypart to failure, sometimes by adding a dropset at the end of a particular exercise

                                        For me,that would be WAY too much volume,i would never bulk on that.
                                        I would drop to about 4 good excercises per workout,less isolation,and drop sets will realy cut in to recovery.i would only use iso/drops/negatives/forced reps ect sparingly.
