2012 - 100kg Bench - Six Pack - £2k per month 01 January 2012 10:55 (permalink)
For 2012 I'm going to give it another go and try and achieve some long held goals.  By the end of the year I want to have:
  • Six Pack
  • 100kg bench for 3 sets of 8 reps
  • Be earnings £2000 a month (gross) from the internet
Current stats are 6 foot 1 inch height and weight 90kg on my bathroom scales. I can bench 80 kg for 3x8 and managed a 1RM of 97.5kg earlier in 2011.  I earned £1800 for one month earlier in year but then it tailed off and I ended the year on £1300 a month.  I want to get up to £2000 per month every month by the end of the year if not earlier. I plan to do this building Adsense niche sites and Amazon style niche sites and perhaps a couple of bigger authority sites. Not training related but its a goal and might be of interest to some people as other posters do this kind of work too.

I've been training for about 5-6 years but after the initial gains never really achieved much despite going fairly regulalryl over the year.  Diet is the main weak point I think. I've been doing IF for the last few weeks and have lost about 3-4 KG getting down to 90 kg.  I was 98 kg in August 2011 so have lost a bit of lard.

Will post some photos soon.  You can see my recent failed shape-up photos here: http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/fb.ashx?m=4571460

Good luck with your 2012 goals.

Is the internet earnings your only source of income or is it a second income?

Ready to start proper tomorrow after a two weeks holiday.  Turns out the gym at the hotel was rubbish so didn't train while away.

            Sunday 8 Jan:
            Lat pull-downs: 3x10
            DB Rows: 3x10
            Hammer Curls: 3x10
            Abs

Crappy workout today as gym was busy.  Started IF again today after a couple of weeks off.  Weight was 90kg in the gym today which is good.

Aiming for 88kg in 6 weeks time as going on holiday for a week then.

Alright there mate, jst been having a read of your journal, very interesting.

Best of luck with your goals this year.

Very interested in your online working, i'm trying to get into this and understand it myself as i am a stay at home dad too, i own my own valeting business i run more part time at the moment so am looking for a way of making some money from home.  These Adsense niche sites loom very interesting, need to do alot more research though, any tips or sites i should be looking at to learn mate, any help appreciated!

BTW, i'd put BF around the 20% mark. Fairly lean there mate, should be able to get some good definition with dropping a little fat.

I enjoy it mate, still get out for some part time work but it has to fit in around the little one. Luckily ours goes through the night now apart from bad teething nights so getting some respite! Very rewarding though!

Cheers for the tips, i'll take a look.

I can't wait until ours can sleep through the night.  First people said it would happen when she hits 6 months, then when on solids, then when on 9 months...

I've not been to the gym for about three weeks which is bad but I've been sticking to the intermittent fasting pretty much six days a week only eating between 12pm and 8pm.

To be honest I've hardly been eating anything as once you start 'fasting' you soon stop getting hungry or at least learn how to ignore or embrace the hunger pangs.

Most days I have a modest breakfast at about 12pm then a snack at 3pm then dinner at about 6-7pm.  I've not got any protein shakes either so my protein intake is very low.

Either way I'm down to 85kg on the home scales which is pretty good and down 5kg from the start of the year.

I can see my top two abs fairly clearly and look a bit leaner round the belly but still got a fair amount to lose.  I'm aiming for another 5kg and then will see where I'm at.

Whey protein should be here next week then will try and up the protein and get back in the gym.  Hopefully I haven't lost too much muscle!

No new pics yet, might do one in a couple of weeks. Progress has slowed down a bit, still at 85kg.

Finally got some whey so will be using that now.

Energy levels are good but hard to tell due to sleepless nights from the baby but have adjusted to not eating by 12pm quite well I think.  Not been doing any cardio though.

As for my goal of making some money I only managed £740 which is almost half of what I made last January.  Have hired someone to work for me part-time so hopefully that should help turn things around.

Had a bad few days!  The Mrs bought be a bag of sweets and chocolates for Valentine's and I've pretty much eaten the lot.  Feel sick and fat.  Not been near a gym for days either.

Good luck on your goals mate, i'll be cheering you on.  Also good that you have business goals.  Im looking to try and start something like that off myself as a 2nd income so maybe you could give me some tips.

                                        Yeah sure.

Been in the gym for the first time in ages and managed two days in a row.  I always put off going when I haven't been for ages then once I go I remember how much I like it.

Weak as a kitten now though.  Am tempted to see what I can get over the counter in a Bangkok pharmacy.
