Well done Gordon, it was a good line up. You have a great stage presence without coming across as an arrogant person that some do. Looking forward to seeing you on stage next year I hope

Well a couple of days have now past and the dust has settled alittle. Back to work yesterday afternoon. All the college's congratulated me on my placing which was great because some have felt the wrath of my hungry, tired self once or twice lol.

Back to some normality. Feels really weird having all this spare time to kick back and relax. Dont know whether or not I like it. Eating like a 'normal' person and having some treats but trying not to over do it and limit myself. Had one of those Marks and Spencer curries tonight which as fantastic and a great price for £7. Might of added a little cheeky dessert onto it as well but I thought hey 7 months of dieting I deserve it.

I'm planning on getting back to the gym next week and beginning my bulk. Will come up with a plan of action and let everyone know and cast there eyes and opinions.

A few days days have past now since the Finals. Still cant beleive its all over. Very strange not having all the cardio/food prepartion to deal with. Just living a kind of normal boring life right now. I feel very strange with no real plan for the day apart from toddle off to work and maybe prepare some lunch or dinner to take with me.

I was thinking about bodybuilding and how it gives a great deal of meaning, drive and focus to my life. For me structure and plan work well. Having a goal at the end makes things even better. Gaining success from that goal is the Iceing on the cake!!  Unfortunately bodybuilding isnt seen in the same way as other sports and many dont understand the hard work and dedication it demands of its athletes. Unless people live or work with that person they do not know what sacrifices are required to step on that stage. Hopefully in years to come it is recognised more and the competitors are praised for there comittment and hard work and not for being different.

Looking forward to starting the bulk phase next week. I have come up with a meal plan and I have sent it to James for a quick scan. Will post it up soon asap.

Went out go karting as a team building day. Great fun!!  We had a mini grand prix which I took the winners trophy home lol. Think I'm a bit of a bully when I get behind the wheel. All or nothing for me.

Went for a curry after that which was SO good and I think I eat my own body weight and some lol. Also too top that off I had a curry with my mum and dad tonight. The 6pac is slowly disappearing but I think I deserve it after the long and hard dieting.

Start the bulk on monday and back in the gym training for next year. Probs planning to take another week off near christmas time so al fit a good amount of training before then. Planning on doing something like a 4 week bulk and then a 2week mini cut just to try and keep in some kind of good shape.

Hey, Good to hear from you. The brits was great and I guess I looked not bad lol but not quite as good as the Scottish hence the slightly lower placing. Looking back there wasnt much in it but again you live and learn.

TBH mate I think I probably will compete next year but after talking to James I shall wait until around March next year to decide. It'll be in the lightweight catergory or maybe middles but lights will probs be better for me. We shall see.

Its been a good few days back in the gym and pumping some iron lol. I dont think there is anything better!!  Started my bulking diet on Monday. I shall post below for everyone in cyber land to see. Trainings been great. Started a slightly new tactic with a Pull/Push routine spaced over 6days. Only resting each muscle group for 3 days. I looked into a decent amount of different training routines etc and found that stimulating the muscle fibers more often (more for a natural) can help growth. With high volume you need more rest to repair the damage however my tactic is less volume however less rest. I will let everyone know the results and hopefully get some pics up of post brits condition.

Weighed myself for the first time since the brits today. Oh me I've put on ruffly 6kg lol. Cant help it really, need to take a break from 7months of competing and dieting!!

Heres the meal plan as promised:

Meal 1 - Shake (30g oats, 30g whey, banana, tbls peanut butter, 200ml water)

Meal 2 - 8 Egg Whites, 2 Yolk Omellette, 75g porridge with tbls dried fruits, tbls ground flaxseeds, 3-4 tbls low fat bio yoghurt
(will add Smoked Salmon or Turkey Bacon to Omellette)

Meal 3 - 3 Oatcakes, Natural Peanut Butter, Item Fruit, 30g whey in water

Meal 4 - 2 Slices Granary Bread, Tin of Tuna/Salmon, Mixed Salad, Tbls Ground Flaxseeds

Meal 5 - Homemade Protein Bar (one I found on here, very good!!), Item of fruit. This may change to 80g Chicken Breast, tbls sunflower seeds

Meal 6 - 200g Chicken/Lean red Meat, 100g Basmati Rice, Loads of Veg

Meal 7 - 200g Cottage Cheese, 3 Rye Crisp Bread

Depending on Timings I will add an 8th meal the same as Meal 1 but with 2 slices granary bread.

Supplements: Extreme Whey, Vitargo, Beta-Alanine, Creatine Monohydrate, Digestimax.

Considering getting CNP Pro Recover and Reflex Instant Mass or Boditronics Weight Gainer. I got a goodie bag at the Brits with CNP products and loved the Pro Recover. Strawberry was probably one of the best tasting I have ever tried!!!

Hoping to keep around the 83-84kg mark if it creeps up I may do a mini cut for around 2weeks but I will monitor and post here. I am planning on adding some cardio mainly to keep the heart and lungs healthy.

Bodies pretty sore after the past few days of training. Its that feeling of soreness you love to hate lol. Eating my way through all the food for the day. Had abit of a sore head since after lunch which made training a little hard not sure where its come from.

Apart from that all is good. Picking up quite alot of PT clients now. Sold another block of 10 which is grand. Really enjoy doing PT really rewarding. Long may it continue.

Up early this morning. Working at 6.00am so up rather promptly to get some good quality food in!!  Worked until about 3pm and headed to Asada spending a large chunk of my monthly pay cheque lol. I think the fact I dont have to be restrictive means I buy a little more than usual lol. Its good food though just more. Well bags of oats, lots oh and rice.

Just read the BNBF British Report and heres my section:

In 4th place was Scottish champion, Gordon Greenhorn. Gordon is another thickly muscle junior, with strong legs, superb overall balance and no structural weaknesses. In comparison to the physique Gordon showcased at the Scottish qualifier, however, his condition was slightly off, and seemed to be holding a slight film of water across his entire physique, despite his apparent condition. In spite of this, Gordon was clear in 4th place and rounded off a very successful competitive year indeed.

It makes for a great and interesting read. David Kaye I think had definately captured exactly what my condition was like on stage. The water was apparently especially going through the compulsaries as I was sweating and I mean sweating. It wasnt anything normal with it literally cascading down my face!!  We live and learn and maybe another line of action will be taken next year.

I really think I will be competing again next year, I love bodybuilding and competition is the icing on the cake.

Was out last night for dinner with a few friends. Had a couple of beers which was nice for a change. Condition is softening but thats what happens. Al b back in the game next year!!

Was back in the gym yesterday training chest and some tri's. Great session intensity's really high pushing harder and harder!!  Today was even better with one of my favourite workouts, BACK.

Pushed it hard today with a training partner and really gave it my all. Totally shattered at the end of it. Really enjoying the pump after and during workouts now. Missed that with all the dieting lol. Conditions ok compared to the comp condition but thats really to be expected. Still vascular in my arms and very light striations in my delts. Looking alot fuller and bigger however abs are slowly creeping away lol.

Looking forward to my calve and quad workout tomorrow.

Just returned from an interesting trip to the hospital. Had a little accident at the gym. Heres the story. Finishing off a great arms work out me and a friend headed to the padded mats to complete everything with some abs. I set up a swiss ball and grabbed a 4kg medicine ball. My friend stood a slight distance away for me to through it at him whilst sitting up. Without relising I hadnt told my friend not to through it back at me until I said so. However he did and it hit me square in the face as I came up.

From then on dont really remember much apart from blood pouring from my nose and mouth and shouting to my friend you better get someone. The first aider took SO long to come to see if I was ok. Also not one person in the gym flinched and came to see if I was ok. Dont think al be back there again!!

Well to cut a long story short felt really dizzy and tbh exactly how anyone would feel having been hit in the face with a 4kg med ball. No injuried really apart from a swallon nose and lip with a couple of teeth chipped.

Al be fine just my ego bruised abit.
