Who's looking forward to it? I certainly am. Going to be an interesting year for England, with the casting out of all the old guard. France and Wales are going to be hard to beat! Italy have improved a lot and I could see them upsetting a few teams. How do people see this going?

You're right about England, alot of re-building to do there. I think the French will be very hard to beat.

England have done the right thing in my mind. They have 4 years to develop a young and talented squad and a new style of play. This years results might not be great (i'd take 3 wins from 5) but its building for the future. About damn time we saw Phil Dowson in an England shirt. Saw him for the Saxons a few years back and he was the best player on the pitch by a considerable margin. I've been watching Northampton on sky for a few games and when they get going, they look all but unstoppable. Would love to see England play in that style. The scrum half Dickinson is also very useful. Moves the ball very quickly and snipes well too. We have some interesting choices in the centres as well. I think Barritt is pretty much nailed on for the 12 shirt. A classy 13 like Trinder would be good. But Barritt and Manu would make a pretty handy combination! Back three are RAPID! Exciting times! But the tight 5 are going to be where the game is won and lost and not looking too strong there......

I think England will be very underestimated this time round and expect them to WIN tbh the French will either be brilliant or **** I think Lancaster will have said to the English boys look nobody expects you to win just go and play rugby score tries etc dont worry so much on this retention crap we have done for decades. Ireland not sure they have anything of substance in them now. Welsh great talent but serial chokers Scots only match they stand a chance of winning is England at Murrayfield as its habit lol Italians not sure they have the firepower but always entertaining. Honestly cant split France England and Wales for the title on paper but I think if we play like we can should grand slam it. If we play like the donkey in the RWC then wooden spoon. Looking forward to it for the first time in ages though :)

Think it will be either Wales or Ireland for the win no grand slam though. Also think the jocks will surprise and Italy for the wooden spoon! Went to the Saints v Munster game the other week (Munster fan). Must say the Saints destroyed us in the scrums.

When Saints get on a roll, they are almost instopable. Very impressive. The back row and scrum half just seem to go on the rampage. Plus I absolutely love Soane Tongahuia! I think Ireland will do well, but can't see them beating France. Sean O'Brien is immense in the loose! I think it will end thusly: 1 - France 2 - Wales 3 - Ireland 4 - England 5 - Scotland 6 - Ireland If this young England side can gel, then i'd put them 2nd and drop Wales and Ireland down a spot. But think thats unlikely!

Going to be an interesting weekend. Not sure what to make on the England squad yet looks decent on paper and their first opening game against the Jocks will be interesting to see if they work. Ireland have got a tough one against Wales, but on the other hand it we can do them it will do wonders for the Irish morale. Can't wait! Been stuck in the house the past two weeks as I've broken two fingers playing rugby and been signed off work for six weeks ( plumber) I've already buttered up the ball and chain and going to make an all dayer of it starting with the French game exciting!

Gonna be a pretty open 6 nations IMO, first one after the world cup and will be a lot of new talent on show. I hope the Welsh make the most of their talent but a lot of injuries -Jamie Roberts??? -Dan Lydiate??? -Rees Priestland??? -Matthew Rees (OUT) -Luke Chateries (OUT) -Alun Wyn Jones (OUT) -Gethin Jenkins (OUT) and of course Shane Williams retiring that's a lot of change!!

Wales do indeed have a lot of injuries. But a great pool of talent to draw from. I really hope they leave Henson well out of the way though!

There will be no grand slam that's for sure. It's impossible to tell how England and France will get on really, new management, new style most likely, who the hell knows. I think Wales would be favourites but for their injuries. By that process of elimination I would say we (Ireland) could be in with a shout, but again it totally depends on how quickly England and France will gel or otherwise under their new management. They each could be mind blowing or dire.

For the time england look to have the foundations in the backs to provide a bit of excitement, However we lack power up front and at this stage natural leaders, with that aggressive edge.

England team, to face Scotland: Ben Foden; Chris Ashton; Brad Barritt, Owen Farrell, David Strettle; Charlie Hodgson; Ben Youngs; Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Dan Cole; Mouritz Botha, Tom Palmer; Tom Croft, Chris Robshaw (captain), Phil Dowson. Replacements: Rob Webber, Matt Stevens, Geoff Parling, Ben Morgan, Lee Dickson, Jordan Turner-Hall, Mike Brown. I'm made up or Phil Dowson. Its about damn time he got to play for England and is certainly a much better option t #8 than fatty Easter. Quite a small backline, but pacy and lots of flair. Can't wait to see them playing together!
