Another top week of training and busy at work so no day off, not working day time this weekend, just chilling and eating,
trainings gone very well, all weights have increased, will crack the 500kg on the leg press next week last working set of 10,
brought me a george forman grill this week how the hell i ever got on without one of these up till now is a miricle if you dont own one get one!!!!
got given some NOXPLODE to try well what a waste of time that is started on 2 scoops then 3 scoops then 4 scoops nothing not a sausage, didnt even keep me awake.
think i have allowed myself to get a bit dehydrated over the last couple of day( been working outside and its been hot) as i woke up last night in pain cramp never suffer with cramp, or it may have something to do with the two cans of red bull i drank last night to get me throught my training ???
making good progress in the gym just got to keep it up,

After a lazy weekend, well for me that is only worked 1 night on the door, 1\2 day at work today, training tonight was chest and biceps, got a very good pump, couldnt bend my arm my forarms and biceps were so pumped, couldnt get my training vest off on my own, came home had some food then like a twat i went out and tried to wash the van bad mistake, still carrying some cut have not smoothed over yet and weight in at 17st 12lbs this morning.
been off my food last couple of days so have treated myself to a couple of large tubs of CNP propeptide, choc mint is just to die for, i keep waking up at 3am in the morning hungery so will bang in a couple of scoops of propeptide, have another couple with my breakfast, and if i dont fancy eating i will have another couple of scoops, usually works get bored of eating switch to shakes then go back to real food

tuesday was quads and calfs day, its so hot and humid here, so had no big ideas just get in the gym do my thing and go home,
managed to put 20kg on the leg press, and up the weight on the leg extension by one block, the hack squat was very tough.
then comes the painfull part on the calf machine the pin was stuck so i pulled it and managed to squash my finger under 50kg of weight of course there was blood, a few choice words then finished my sets.
today my finger is swollen and very hard and brused, hurts like a mother ****** lesson learned go get one of the gym bods next time they can squash there fingers,
being wednesday no gym today rest day, this heat is killing me all i want to do is sleep

thursday training was back and triceps, feeling strong had a very good workout only down side i had trouble holding on to dumbells and barbells as my finger is still swollen and when i grip hard it bleeds,

Friday in the gym was a strange session was delt and hams working shoulders was very good got a massive pump got me a coupe of cannon balls,
strange think on the hams laying leg curl i felt strong so start on the weight that i finished on last week, it felt light so used the whole stack could have done more !
SLD i did with dumbells using my straps so i didnt have to grip the weight to hard save my poor finger which has started to get some feeling back still bleeds but on the mend,
seated leg curls some thing happened with the weight used the whole stack felt very strong,
can feel the workout today in my hams and got doms in my triceps from thursday, so tomorrow i probley wont be able to walk as i normally suffer the most two days after doing my workout
weight in on the gym scales at 18st2lbs

Mondays workout was chest and biceps, feeling strong only problem i am having is getting laid back with the large dumbells on the flat bench press, not a pretty sight to watch. body weight still rising but not as fast, this week i am going to be bring back early morning walks just 3 or 4, looking at my pictures that someone took at the solent compertition, i am still holding body fat not a lot but its bugging me now and i am going to have to find a way of removing it for next year, but keep more mass as that seams to drop of as fast as the fat, which is not the required effect.
maybe if i stay leaner throught the year ??? i dont know but then will i hinder my chance of adding mass? questions questions where to find the answers ??

Looking like a frickin unit mate!  Keep it up!  I think dieting down very slowly is the answer to your question, although with ultra leanness always comes a degree of muscle wastage.

Re:photo upload 2010--2011 for comparison - 13 September 2011 09:10
Right second week into new program, weight starting to move up suffering doms in the upper chest today which was the aim so must be doing something right, have decided to drop my body weight a few pounds so i am currently sitting at 17st 10lbs its strange how a few pounds can make all the differance i feel good at this weight, and as a lean bulk is on the menue i dont want to carry to much fat some but not loads, last few weeks i have been sticking to my diet during the week and letting my hair down at weekends thats got to stop, i can control my weight better if i am watching what i eat seven days a week will still be having a cheat meal, but keeping it in control, cake is my down fall must learn to say no
going to stop eating quark for a bit as i am suffering intergestion after eating it pre workout,
well not sure if it is the quark or the oat biscuts or the bannana so going to drop that and have something else as my 3 oclock meal,
bit of homework required might see  if i can use a meal replacement with some good carbs to sustain me through my workout
oh legs tonight \0/

Hi Scrubby

You sound like your in a very similar position to me..( apart from the 5 stones difference in weight! Lol)
im gonna try and keep myself as lean as possible up untill  my next prep.. no more than 16-21lbs above stage weight and hopefully add a little muscle before may 2012... i'll be looking to compete in August in the Midlands NPA again, im keeping a close eye on my diet and food, and adding and removing things too see if theres any effects etc... im pretty much watching what i eat 7 days a week and currently have no cravings for any sort of cheats ...  will be getting my new programme of Micky mid october, some sort of strength and mass building routine, from looking at your older pics you progressed well in each show and made improvements... im sure next year will see even better improvements

have a good leg session

2012 prep starts - 02 March 2012 20:29
Right here we are again, 16 weeks out and the prep starts, when i say starts it never totally went away, been a good boy where the treats are concerned, and have managed to stay relitively lean dispite hitting the scales at 19 stone.
so begins the cardio 40 min a day due to the wifes work rota, yes i say wife as i got married in december for the second time, differant woman. not daft enough to marry the same one twice, cardio will be done am or pm but it will be done.
still being looked after by micky mckay diet and training.
made the trip up to micky a few weeks back just to let him see me before we start prep, had some lunch and a bloody good chat,
so i will upload some pictures when i get some done have made some very good gains in the right places, just been keeping my head down and training with a purpose that being a first place this time on the bedford stage, and if i dont achive it, then it wont be through lack of trying

Re:Scrubby65 Pictures added page 2/3 - 21 March 2012 07:15
Well my intention was to post on a regular basics, lifes been a right **** over the last couple of week. A nice kind lady decided that she didnt like my van and drove straight into the side of the van pushing me across the road into the path of oncoming traffic, which thankfully all missed me.
the stress and head ach from sorting this has really had me digging deep, i need my van for my work as i am self employed, to cut a long story short they wrote my van off and loaned me a hire van for 5 days ! i have been paid out and have manage to sorce another van will be picking it up today or tomorrow, I can`t tell you how relived i will be to get my life back on track,
thankfully most of my customers are very understanding, as my work book is full for me to miss a slot with a customer means, they have wasted time off from work, and will have to re-book. I did give them all notice and have kept them informed.
thankfully i have my weekend door work to keep the money topped up but like i say all back to normal next week

Back to the training have been walking in the mornings with good results body weight is down to around 18st5lbs this morning, and people in the gym have started to ask when my comp is when i say 14 odd weeks they say so far off, you look very lean for being so far out, litttle do they know how bloody fast them few week will come screaming in.
all i want is my stress free life back so i can get my head in prep mode again. I know these things are sent to try us and it has trust me i will breath a massive sigh when i have the keys to my new van in my hand tools in the back and heading out monday morning
Training in the gym is going ok suffered a bit yesterday training legs as this old fool did a fun run with his little lad at the weekend, i so hate running ! fact.
still manage to push a PB on the leg press 530kg for 6 as my last working set.

Should have done this when i started cutting but better late than never
body weight 18st 5lbs
neck 19"
chest 53"
waist 35" never been slim so not going to happen now
thighs Left 27" right 26 3/4"
calfs left 19" right 18 3/4"
Bicept left 18 3/4 right 18 1/2"

!! i am right handed and always start to walk on my right foot, thought it would have been the other way around, or is it that the left side get to rest more as its not the lead arm and leg ?
considering i have already dropped 9lbs, from memory them measurement are up on last year, my body weight most certainaly is and i an much leaner than last year at this time

weighed in at 18st 2lbs this morning wednesday 28/03/12 should be around 18st dead this week end if all goes to plain.
Good old micky gave me walking lunges forgot how hard these were, been painfull walking for the past couple of days, training all changed, started to look leaner already, still got a way to go but all is looking good fingers crossed this will reflect when i step on the stage this year and all my hard work is rewarded.
must be working as i am already plaining me cheat meal normally i just take it as it comes.

Hi dazc not long now 10 weeks where has the time gone,
No weight lost this week but leaner and more vascular and strength has made a huge leap upwards, weight lifted in the gym has increased by a fare bit, going to enjoy while its there as i know from past experance it will drop, this is my third prep and each time it gets better.
bodyweight is still 17st 8lbs

Not what anyone wants last night and early this morning was spent in the toilet being sick, there was no change to diet, felt rough while training but pushed on through, hopefully that me done now i can get my comp head on and make this come back together. weight in this morning at 17st 1lb but thats due to the dehydration of being sick, will be spending the day eating and rehydrating, looked very lean this morning in the mirror on the plus side.
9 weeks on sunday to the day even after being ill last night i have a good feeling about this prep, cant wait to step on the stage and show how i have changed in one year, this will be a total of three years of consistant training and diet, and its all coming together now.

Re:Scrubby65 Pictures added page 2/3 - 21 April 2012 10:04
well here we are at the 9 week marker, just looking back through last years prep, I am about 8 lbs heaver, than last year and in terms of condition i look about the same as i did at 6 weeks out, must have done something right in my off season.
Needed to bring more bulk to the stage and i dont think i will have failed on that one,
I just need to get into the same condition or better than last year and i will have achived what i set out to do in one year.
This week has been a right ****, been ill struggled to find the time to train but we just keep doing what we do and it will all come good in the end you got to have the faith in your convictions, i am totally commited to being bigger and better this time around.
cheat meal today, instead of eating sweet stuff like choc i and going to hit the carbs big time, lots of protien and carbs just for a change, some how when ever i cheat i feel like i missed a chance for some reason ?
that might just be me but i need to try something differant, dont try and you dont know.
