Some huge sessions there mate. Only question I have is how do you know when enough volume is enough? Are you following a routine or have some outline to your training?

Fingers crossed it won't be too too long

I hope so. It took a while for them to see me about my wrist but in the end it was sorted so I'm hopeful.

I'm a volume junky. (This is a moderate amount by the way lol, a year ago I'd be hitting alot more total weekly but i slowly reduced it this year due to injuries. I do believe most people don't put enough volume in.

Im following a 3 day bodybuilding style split over the weekends with 1-2 fullbody circuit type in the week. No set routine just going in and doing as much as physically possible. I do have a high tolerance to volume and I'm not exactly running on normal petrol either. As a natty you have to be a lot more careful with overtraining (but then again 99% of people natty or not wont get anywhere near a true overtrained state. It's happened to me once and I literally was fvcked for 3 months.

Hopefully you'll get a good one mate, I found the physio at my local hospital next to useless.

Why don't you just pay for a private physio mate? I don't hear very good things about NHS ones.
What are your favourite sweets? Haribro.
Whats your favourite macro? Brotein.
Whats your favourite Olympic sport? Browing.
Whats your favourite chore at home? Browing the lawn.

Etc. etc.

Re: 2017/01/10 11:11:55 (permalink)
Funds are bit short for multiple private physios and the way it has deteriorated, I truly think I'm going to need surgery. Cartlidge is fvcked, crunching noises can be heard. I can visibly see the patella mistracking and to touch any part of my knee cap is like a knife going through it.

I went to doc to get refered to a knee specialist. He believes it could be chondromalacia but he wanted a physio to look at it first and the can do the referal. Looking for an MRI ideally, maybe even anthroscopy.

Pain in patella is getting unbareable after each session, im probably going to have stop direct leg work which I really don't want to and will derail my plans! It's strange because once I've warmed up and it's strapped, I can use it(although that's getting worse each week) but it's the days after where it's started affecting day to day life. I can't climb stairs in the morning without left foot going up first. Can't leave it any longer.

And although I had to wait , I had good service from physios at hospital with my wrist, they sorted it out eventually.. Just takes time.

Sounds fcvking grim mate. Stopping everything that directly affects it is a very smart move. You've got to look at the long game.

Bad news on the leg dude, seem to be having more than you fair share of injuries recently.

New sessions look pumptastic mate, lot of work has to be helping to shift the weight.

I know! But I got my X-ray form in the post today from doc and its marked as "urgent - affecting daily life" so at least its progressing (quicker then I thought). Just got to wait on the physio's now

If I'm not injured, im in bed with a cold, or in hospital on a ventilator. But with the heavy work out to bed and some well needed pounds coming off my frame, it will give my joints and ligaments a bit of a break.

I'm still not used to it. I don't think the rest of the gym knows what to do with the racks being free so much now, (as I'm a machine boy) they're practically empty all the time ha!

Good Session today. Can feel I'm getting fitter. Hardly any legs though as I'm going to keep any leg work for a Sunday to give my knee a break so inflammation had a chance to go down and so I can do some cardio.

Still feeing these mid week sessions out. I kind of know what I'm going to do when I get to gym broadly but need to nail it down so I don't waste time fanny adamsing between exercises.

I know you probably don't want to hear it mate, but resting that knee would be a good move.

I had patella tracking dysfunction but not all the other symptoms you have. Turns out my outer quads were much stronger than my inner quads and were pulling the kneecap up and out. Sitting for a long period like in the car was agony.

Again as you know resting is when the body recovers!

You know how you said earlier that your body copes with very high volume well.... You know how you mention persistent injuries or illness one after the other?

Just sayin'
