Your metabolism will slow with dieting. This is called adaptive thermogenesis, and it happens as a result of any prolonged deficit. That's the key word though ..prolonged. The more excessive (in terms of size and duration) the deficit is, the more significant this drop will be. I'm only in deficit for 4 days(although I've now decided to change that)
