Advice on Posing Gruds
10 February 2012 19:03
( permalink)
Can some of the competing bodyduilders please give some tips on purchasing posing trunks? Should i buy them now? im 11 weeks out, will they be too big to once ive dieted down? Any particular style i should go for? Im 5'6 so would a high cut trunk suit me better to give the impression of longer legs? Any tips/links/advice would be appreciated, sorry if they are daft questions. Cheers JP

what has suprised me is the amount of guys who wear spangly type trunks now, i thought that the 'rules' stated they had to be more errr subtle.

Yeah, im not 100%, but i know SJT has sequins etc on his trunks, so maybe its only pro's who can do this? Amateur level im sure its not allowed, although i may be way off lol

not sure if it is different for pro competitors mate, but i think the sequin jobs look wrong tbh mate. Makes it more of a beauty comp than a physique comp somehow for me.

They all look great until you get tan all over them. Then light ones look a mess. Flashy spangly ones are for uber-competitors. Mortals cannot be taken seriously in them.

No, metrosexuals look bad enough in black trunks. They would fail to exist for the purposes of competition in spangly ones.

Trunks need to fit well. Be cautious with the size especially if you're 11 weeks out. The UKBFF are clamping down with trunks and turning people away for shiney ones. Make sure your are within the rules. Admittedly this is self promotion as it's MT's sister site, but these are allowed trunks: http://www.liquidsunrayz.co.uk/posing-trunks.aspx

Would the crushed velvet type be ok? or is it safer just to go for a matt effect? Cheers James, ill check out the link now
