Also 46 and getting my arse back in gear

I am 46 and been training for a long time now, due to personal problems i have written the best part of this year off due to missing more time in the gym than actually training, and not having my head in the right place to eat correctly, in fact my eating and fat intake has been nothing less than dis-graceful over the last 5 months. However from 2nd Jan, a new diet and training plan, i will be back into shape by June. I started by finding a great gym, i am training at Martins gym, Only Health and Fitness in Only, it is alway clean and tidy, all weights are put away by everyone that uses them, the gym has a real family atmosphere. I will also be training 3 times a week with a friend who is getting ready for a show next year, so more motivation for me. With a good guy to train with and a stunning gym to train in, i have no excuse for getting myself sorted. As i get into the new year i will post my routine, waiting for Chris to tell me what we are training on the days we are training together. As for my diet it is not finished yet but it will look something like this First Thing Pure L_Glutamine Meal 1 - Poached egg white on toast, fruit and yogurt Meal 2 - Small Protein Shake Meal 3 - Rice, Veg with Tuna or Chicken Meal 4 - Small Protein Shake Meal 5 - Rice, With White Fish or Chicken Training Meal 6 - Protein Shake Meal 7 - Anything Last Thing - Pure L_Glutamine This is not a massive fat loss diet and whilst high in carbs should enable me to loss body fat, whilst growing. As it works or doesnt i will post any changes and why i have changed it. My training will roughly be 5 days a week, with day 6 being core training, abs and lumber. For the beginning of the year i will be leaving all my compond movements till the last excercise and training with high intensitiy. This is proberly of no real interest to anybody else, but it helps me with it in writing. As soon as i start i will keep a post a progress log on this site, any problems or major changes with my intent i will detail back in the over 40's section.

Hi Guy - we must catch up soon. No doubt, after a couple of months you'll be back sporting those massive arms! Diet is ok; vary it up a bit. Change bread to granary; don't go overboard on meal 7
