Alternative to cottage cheese?
06 February 2012 18:11
( permalink)
Just moved from scandinavia to york, and looking for an alternative product for cottage cheese. At home, I stopped eating cottage cheese (hate it), when the dairy company created a supplement for sour cream which is supposed to be used in dishes/sauces and whatnot. This product is kinda like natural yogurt, it looks the same, and taste (almost) the same. 100g whereas; 12g prot, 4,3 g carbs and 1,0 g fat. Does anyone know, or can recommend a product similar to this? High protein yogurt can it almost be defined as. I went to Morrions today, but no luck:(

They sell it in tesco in the cheese isle. Is it really cheesy cause I've often thought about it but can stang cheese unless it's melted.

Quark is pretty bland tasting tbh. There are many ways to 'jazz' it up to suit an individual palate however :) Calza - it can be hard to find in certain areas for some reason. I've moved around a bit and always found Tesco my best bet.

If i'm going to eat it plain i'll stick some sweetener in it or I just add some fruit, usually cherries. Tastes pretty much like a fruit yogurt then.

Why do you need an alternative to something you dont like? Just eat something totally different.
