jofford , Check out TIO's Begginer guide that will help. Personaly i would Bulk as you are skinny mate. Eat 6 meals a day Do a 3-4 Day split with -1-3 Sessions Of HIIT or SSCV IMO. Good luck Ps. Building Muscle cutting fat and gaining strentgh at the same time is impossible. 1st Tiem around trainning you will but after some months into you wont, Even if you were to cut i would bulk 1st so that when you cut theres some muscle to show.

Do i want to be doing HIIT? or SSCV? Or is the idea to have 1 session for cutting fat and fitness and the others for gaining muscle mass? And do you help people in deciding what foods they should eat Like me - i could eat 6 meals a day but it wouldnt be the right food to help me proberly (pack on as fat and not muscle etc) ORIGINAL: FrankenJim jofford , Check out TIO's Begginer guide that will help. You are skinny (no point beating round the bush lol) whack your diet up on the diet forum and your routine up on the beginners forum and people will sort them out for you.

I would not be doing any form of cardio at all if I was you. You want to keep as many calories as you can and train hard(but sensibly). Your diet wants to consist of meat, chicken, potatoes, pasta and a heap of fruit and veg, good home cooked food. Just increase your calories util you start hitting 1-3 lbs of weight gain each week. Forget any nonsense about lower carbs on non training days etc.

You can train tonight mate, its just a bit of delayed muscle soreness. Training will probably help ease the pain. Post up your full routine.

as i said in your other thread mate dont worry too much about eating 6 times a day or any other stuff that makes it complicated eat 50% more than you were doing and clean up the diet thats all. Aim for 2-3lbs a month weight gain, you wont be cut (defined) but you can easily get there once you pack on some lean mass Eat how it suits you and your schedule, lift weights and enjoy the benefits that come with it thats all

ORIGINAL: jofford08 ahh right, well i use 2 run for my area for a couple years and that so my legs i fink are pretty alright tbh, ORIGINAL: Murphyblew dont neglect your legs mate hey. don't fall into the trap of "my legs are ok from running." you must train them. eat big train hard.do a lot of compounds. post your current diet and training up and that way people can actually offer more help.

So if you want a bigger chest, get working those legs!!!!

How old are you mate? My advice would be to limit your use of junk foods / poor food choices and concentrate on eating lots of nutritious foods. Loads of varied fruit and veg, eggs, meat, fish, good quality carbs such as wholegrain pastas, dark breads etc. Keep your EFA intake up either through foods or supplements. IMO lift 4 times a week and do some cardio a couple of times a week for the health benefits.

when your talking about training your legs, they say doings squats for instance will increase your whole body size not just your legs. when i do squats my whole body hurts, no other exercise comes close to that for me..

Some of the earlier advice in this thread is ridiculous. Concentrate on upper body? Agree with Eddie and Tony. You are VERY skinny. Not sure how tall you are, but I'd put you at between 8 and 9st. This thread shouldn't even be in the weight loss section. You are already very close to looking like a concentration camp victim (not meaning to sound harsh, but just putting things into perspective). As Tony says, eat plenty of beef, potatoes, oats, chicken, turkey, rice, peanut butter etc etc and train very hard. Aim for 4-6 large meals a day and ask someone on the forum for a good training plan. Your aim is to GAIN a lot of weight over the next year. As Eddie says, around 2lb a Month, but do not even think about seeing your abs at this stage. Worry about that in a year when you're around 2st heavier
I'm a wizard of the word, that's what you heard And anything else is quite absurd
