Animal lovers unite.... 20 November 2009 14:38 (permalink)
And bought this prick to justice, A-hole should be hanged.

Hope he gets whats he deserves

DISGUSTED internet users joined forces yesterday to hunt down a mindless thug filmed throwing a dog off a busy bridge. The vile Lithuanian man was videoed by his pals joking that "dogs can fly" before hurling the helpless pup into a dried-up ravine. The sick footage was then posted on the internet — sparking outrage on social networking sites and blogs across the world. Hundreds of incensed viewers contacted animal welfare groups to complain about the footage.

Groups were set up on Facebook and hundreds of comments were left on video sharing site YouTube by angry animal lovers. The horrific footage shows the man carrying the dog in his arms to the side of the bridge.
His vile pals stand around him laughing and joking as they film him on mobile phones preparing to throw the innocent animal.

After waiting until there are no cars around the man then calmly launches the pup over the bridge railings. The heartbreaking footage shows the dog hitting the ground before yelping in pain unable to move. Furious web users refused to let the man go unpunished and combined resources to bring the yob to justice.

They soon realised that the dog was dropped from a bridge in the Vilkija district in Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania. And after a local Lithuanian news channel 15.min.it ran the story cops recognised the subject — named in reports as 22-year-old Svajunas Beniuk — who later handed himself in to the police. Police in Kaunas issued a statement thanking the public for their help.

According to reports the dog survived the fall, despite serious injuries, and is recovering at a vets. Beniuk now faces animal cruelty charges.

There is a video of it which I have seen and it's very upsetting, I can only say that it's not really worth watching unless you like upsetting yourself.

4chan supposedly got on top of it and the police was after him and an angry mob, don't know who reached him first, I think I may if read he turned himself him rather than be caught by the mob.

Actually I also think I read he's locked up but under protection as well to stop people getting to him.

I don't know how people can be so vile and yet so stupid. What did he expect to happen or achieve from what he did and that's not even on top of a load of suffering to an innocent animal. I hope his life is made a living hell so he regrets doing it every minute of his worthless life.

I'll not watch the video as I wouldn't be able to cope with it, suffice to say I could cheerfully throw him over the bridge and think I've done the right thing.

Not watch the video whats the point, if he can do that to a pup he could do it to a person imo, think there is also a fairly reliable link with animal cruelty and the potential of violent behaviour. What kills me is that (and it applies to this country too) these fcuks get protection/anonimity why? let people know where and who they are, might put some off doing it in the future.

pointless cruelty, i'll pass on the video.

I learnt a while back that my curiosity to see such horrible things should be left alone, some videos online are really disturbing.

                                Glad the guy got caught
