Another newby mma injury question

Hi all, sorry for all the newby questions but i've another. My forearms are starting to feel it a bit now with pain running along the length of the outer bone area. Will this just better over time or shoud I take some time out and recover? Or is there anything that i can apply that will help with the healing? Thanks in advance. Andy

What caused it in the first place, do you know? I remember when I had first started Muay Thai and for one session we concentrated on boxing. My hands tremored uncontrollably for 3 days afterwards, I though I had nerve damage. It will probably pass, ibuprofen gel usually helps me.

Hi Monitor, it was due to a takedown, I landed on my right leg and twisted my knee a little. Nothing major but I am walking with a limp and it's a little painful going down into a full squat position. Thanks Andy monitor What caused it in the first place, do you know? Yes I've got a bad knee as well now, and the forearms are a bit painful. I just think I'm not used to being knocked around that's all.

I use the same ointment when i bang myself doing mma as i do when i train wing chun ion the wooden dummy it is called dit dar jow. you can get it from chineese herbalists you rub it in and it helps with bruising, swelling and pain. It is also great for conditioning the area as well.

I use cryogel for my forearms after mma, just lather it on and takes alot of soreness away. I think most people come out with some pain or slight injury when theres lots of wrestling and rolling involved.

hi the pain in your arms is due to strain from armbars pushing pulling ect..... its not the bone it sounds like tendons alot of people get it i myself have it and it will just come back again an again if you dont sort it out, after every training ice your arms drink water cos dehydration can make it worse and if need be go the doctors and tell them you need anti inflamation tabs
