Any Advice?

Hi All, I would like some advice as to what weights routine I need to introduce in order to continue losing bodyfat. I am very inexperienced in weightlifting but have joined a decent gym. So far I have managed to lose nearly six stone through eating healthily and being super dedicated to CV, currently do 45 mins 6 days a week with 30 min session fasted AM every other day. I gather that the body continues to draw upon energy reserves longer after finishing weight training than after finishing cv? Anyway now that its harder to train outside because of crap weather dark etc I would like to use full potential of gym not just for cv. Any help would be appreciated Cheers in advance

wow, seriously well done on the weight loss so far! Your right, that adding in some weight training will be of huge benefit, it will get the metabolism fired up after training, BUT much more than that it will improve your overall body composition and look, much more than cv work alone ever can! Great news that you have joined a gym. can you tell me how old you are, what your height and weight is, and wether you have any injuries? can easily put together a nice simple weights routine for you, that given a few months will seee further improvement!

Hi Daz, I am 36 5 ft 11 currently weigh 12 st 12 and guess people would say I am naturally stocky.... At my heaviest I was about 18st 4lb I have tried not to shed it too quickly and am currently 14 months in having changed my whole way of life. I recently ran my first competitive cross country 10 k run and came 64th out of 175 so that was a big milestone. Ultimately I guess I would like some abs for next summer but I have no idea what my current bf % is I could post some before and after pics but not sure how to. Hopefully I have achieved a good foundation from which to work now. I was gonna post in the "whats your weightloss story bit" but without pics seems bit pointless I would love to help motivate anyone cos the forum really helped me be good to put something back. I would really appreciate any advice thanks for your time bro. Sean
