Any Lancashire contests 09 April 2006 22:33 (permalink)

More specifically any contests in the Blackpool area.

The reason I ask is that I want to set myself a challenge for 2007, with 2006 being a bit too early. I know the NABBA show is on in Southport this month, and whilst I may go along I don't see myself competing at anywhere near that standard.

All comments and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi Northern, I am looking to compete somewhere in the cumbria/lancashire area towards the end of this year.I have competed once before but that was some years ago and I didn't really know what I was doing!

Let me know if you find a show suitable, I am hoping for a local-ish show just to gain a little confidence. Most of the NABBA & UKFBB are aound the first half of the year but am hoping to find something in September or October.

The comp is this Saturday at the Rolls Royce gym in Barnoldswick. Check in is at 11.30 so I would presume the comp will start at 12.30.

Thanks for the info Kitty (Just read Big Les's personal perspective on on the BNBF finals 2005, can't think of a better thing to say than 'Ace'), did some more surfing today and found a flyer for the event.

Trying to convince Mrs Northern35s I won't crash the car on the way due to sleep deprivation (she knows I won't, just doesn't want to come along).

Gingernut, if I find out some more info I'll post it here or PM you.
