As said whey, fine oats, flaxseedpowder or nat pb etc Most weight gainers are simplensugars and cheap fillers but thisbway you control the content and macros, portion sizes etc

Yeah also, if you do buy a weight gainer already done, 55quid or so for about 20 servings. When you buy your own you could end up with 40+ servings. Whey is fairly cheap, buy 2 or something you usually get them like slightly cheaper. Oats 5kg for less than a tenna. I usually just take peanut butter about with me and a spoon.
Keep your excuses to yourself – nobody cares

a simpler one i have ed is 600g cottage cheese, 500g yogurt asda brand works out about £2 for around 75-80 prot, 90-100 carb, 15-20fat?? around 1000cals, could drop some yogurt and add oats for lowe GI carbs +good fats etc, blend it all together add about 100ml water so its not thick, a 2.4lb mass gainer nice

^^yeah cheaper by far to make your own...natural yogurt is very cheap in supermarkets and good to add to shakes....milk,natural yog, olive oil, whey of your choice and fine oats just blasted together and you're good to go... If you buy unflavoured whey for cheapness, you can get various flavours for it with sugar free jelly powder, again in supermarkets and dirt cheap at about 30p per pack - only need a teaspoon too. Get two or three flavours and vary your shakes in flavour for a change..

Making your own is simple enough. Depends on your circumstance. I have my own I make before bed so it's easy enough but if you want one midday and don't have time buying one would be easier. So many variety's you can make. I just use cheap oats, whey, milk, peanut butter, evoo. Sometimes a banana. Not sure on quantity roughly, 30g whey, 100g oats, 200ml milk, tbsp peanut butter, tbsp EVOO. Cheap too. Probably about 1,000 calories.
18. 70kg. Current: 2012 Goals: 95kg Bench. 140kg. 120kg Squat. 180kg 150kg Deadlift. 200kg.

HIGHLY recommend Boditronics Mass Attack Heavyweight. I've gone through several tubs and it's certainly helping me to get the calories in and continually gain weight. Mixes perfectly in 300ml water and tastes great (chocolate) - definitely give it a go if you can!

I like Critical Mass and if you shop around, you can get a big bag for under £40.

Bazbat I like Critical Mass and if you shop around, you can get a big bag for under £40. Sorry mate the ones mentioned above are far better. The ratios are pretty bad in that per serving 55g of protein 155g of carbs 88g of sugar per serving 11g of fat 8g of saturated fat

The mass attack heavyweight has a great spec and for a "mega gainer" I don't think it can be beaten, made all the better because it mixes in such little water

How much are you looking to add and in what time period? Gainers are just liquid cals - personally (but I am old! :-)) I would not take all the gainer in one hit - if I were to take a 1300kcal gainer as Dave suggested above I would split it - am and pm and try to keep rest of day the same food wise. I would also do it just 5 days a week only because that way it lasts 4 weeks! 1300 extra cals per day should be more than enough for you to add weight!
An Alterego is a paradoxical escape.
