615 is my total PB. 210-155-250. However, this was with a bench that would have failed IPF, as I'd likely have been dropping the bar back into my chest after the pause.
 
Tom wants be to do the April 10th Comp. I have no excuses, and I'm thinking that I give you **** all the time, but I'm pretty guilty of the same thing. I should just jump in... I just don't like commitment
 
2nd February 2016
  • Smolov squats: Week 1/3. Session 2/4: 140 kg x 7 x 5 reps. Banded and beltless
  • Paused deads (three inches off floor), oly shoes: Fives: 70, 90, 110, 130, 150, 170, 190 (3 reps)
  • 70 deg rows: 120 kg: 12 reps x 4 sets
  • Seated row: 4 x 12 reps
Filmed squats and see a problem. I'm compensating for the niggling knee, and favouring the right side at the bottom of the squat. Been here before, and usually comes back online with a few days of smolov, some grooving, etc. Good session. Certainly feel like I've done some work. Sacked off biceps until Thursday. I don't want to do them then either.

At least with PLing, especially at RP, it's not like you're going solo. It would be a genuine day out like a social gym gathering with a bit of lifting in the middle.

I think it helps me brace a bit better. it's basically a fight against the rounded back. I've been up to five reps at 205, before. I'll go for one heavyish set on the Friday, rather than doing several sets, as it really kills me, and I'm all about the squat at the moment.

Yeah, Oly shoes, low bar. I used to squat bare feet, wide stance and got up to 200. Oly shoes, a bit narrower i've got to 210... now I'm stinking and struggling a bit.

I've got to do a day in Ely (didn't see much when I walked there). I'll look out for it. Brewed another beer last night, hopefully going to be a 4% hopped oat pale.
 
4th February 2016
Been in bits since Tuesday. Grinded through Smolov tonight but did nothing else. Now going to bed.
  • Smolov: week 1/3; session 3/4: belted: 150 x 4 reps x 8 sets.
With the bands, i've noticed loads of doms in the ass and upper hams, so an obvious weakness. My knee is really giving me a bit of gyp, but still hoping it's going to disappear. Can't imagine i'm going to be in a good way tomorrow. I need to get a bit more regular with the cod liver oil and all that stuff. Will upload some squats when they look a bit better.

Are there rehab things you can be and maybe should be doing to help the knee out on a regular basis. I've been sticking religeously with my RC stuff and some band work for my ITB/TFL and doing at the end of every session is really paying off.
 
You walked all the way to Ely? That must have taken ages
