Tripling 180 should see 200 go and 600 be on the cards.
 
There's a varsity PL meet here this weekend. Rich is a judge so I anticipate some marketing bias coming in to play as RP lifters dominate the platform




The triple was at 175 (Thursday), but I could have done a 180 for a triple on Sat. The bench hasn't been moving great, but I should be good for the 145. I've pulled a fairly comfy 245 recently, but failed the 255, but if my life had depended on it.... It's gonna be close, anyway. 
 
After the comp, i'm losing some chub. Got California in a couple of months and I want to be massive and ripped for then.

Cali.... nice. Jealous AF. I have a mate out there, 2 in fact - brothers, one of whome is over here in a couple of weeks. Hell of life he has. They can be skiing in the morning and in the afternoon be surfing on a 80deg beach. Was invited out there the other year but couldn't afford the flights for us all which pissed me right off.

Well guys, didn't go great, but good to get one under my belt.
 
  • Squat: 180-190-200X
I'm just not used to pushing the heavier weights. Got it pretty high, ugly form, but just didn't have the drive to push through.
 
  • Bench: 135X-135-145
Didn't wait for the start command..... idiot. I was getting used to the new bench and bar, and just did a brain fart. The 145 was more comfortable than the 135! A little more in the tank but not much.
 
  • Deads: 220-240-250X
I didn't get fired up for the 250. The 240 was pretty easy, and I took the last lift for granted. It was tough, and I didn't pull hard enough, and haven't pulled a 250 in over a year.
 
So overall, only 6/9 lifts, and a 575 total. Not great, but not terrible. 50 kg under my mid-term target which is British qualifying. Still, a good day. A couple of the lads from the gym came along to cheer/take the p1ss, and was great seeing Jedi and Deadward, although not enough time to catch up, unfortunately. 

Definitely won't be my last comp!

Different kit on a different day.... pretty solid showing tho. As I said on FB, you totally buried that 190 so may well be a case of less being more but then you are out of the competitive habit ATM

gym lifts DO NOT = platform lifts... as DV says the differences in kit, atmosphere and nerves can play havoc... still a good show on the day and now you have a total to beat, these are your true pbs

Awesome result mate! As GP says platform lifts are much different than when you perform them in the 'safety' of a normal training session. That's a solid first total, well done!
