ORIGINAL: K Are you saying none of the other events in strongman carry a risk of injury then? If that was what I meant, I would have said it. Wrestling, in my view carries a higher potential for injuries than any of the other events. Did I say that strongman was a risk free sport? No. Could you get injured in any event? Yes. I think wrestling, which the majority of competitors will not have training in, could be an injury clusterf*ck, but hopefully it won't.

Perhaps you should be a little clearer in your posts!

ORIGINAL: K Perhaps you should be a little clearer in your posts! There is not a lot that is unclear here. I said wrestling has potential for injury. ORIGINAL: jb I really disagree with that. Wrestling as a strongman event is an awful event for a number of reasons. Injury potential probably being the biggest one. I reiterated it here: If that was what I meant, I would have said it. Now, was that unclear? For a third time, just for clarification, transparency and to satifsy any pedantry, I think that wrestling has higher potential for injuries than many other strongman events. Obligatory smilie added in an edit.

I think wrestling does have a place in strongman - as a very very occasional event. I do enjoy watching head-to-head type events (pole push being my favourite), but they do seem to carry a higher incidence of injury.
