Back from injury. Training for Army, should I use help 01 February 2012 10:32 (permalink)

I've had my application in for the Army for a while, previously was training for 7 months and became very lean whilst putting on some muscle. Found it very hard to loose fat whislt keep my new strength but I did do it eventually. I was very fit and had a good time on the 1.5mile run I needed and good strength, then just as I was about to go away for sellection I had an accident bending over on a seated bench at the gym to pick up 35kg dumbbell for 2nd set and pulled a muscle inside my hip near the PSOAS ( rear high inside side). I have been out of training for three months and just gone back this week ( got alot of DOMS). In the time I was off I couldn't afford to diet because time off work meant I was skint, so I became like a sulky child and eat badly and for comfort. I've put on around a stone of fat. I don't really want to go through the slow process of natural cutting to keep mass and burn fat again. So to get round to the question, can a first cycle of AAS be advised to hurry me up into the shape I was previous. I'd like to gain a bit of strength and harden up my muscle whilst loosing fat and improving cardio. Tall order and I'm not expecting miracles but maybe something to hurry me up into sellection again

I probably wouldn't advise a injectable cycle for your circumstances

Probably a oral but you are going to hold on to water and make cardio harder unless you went for something like Var

How long have you got till you go back in ?do they test for AAS?

It's upto me before I start the training. Just got to tell the careers officer when I'm fit enough, but I'd like a really good base to start on as I'll go further faster if you know what I mean. They don't test for AAS, they can detect if blood levels are way out of whack but they can't prove anything. Alot of Army lads take gear and as far as I know unless they feel like making an example out of you then they let it go unoticed .

I just want to get they way I was and fast, I've lost strength , definition and gained fat. Cardio is allready harder. I found last time I dieted I lost strength and I'd rather avoid that this time.

I have read on Var, I would be happy to take it, though seems expensive Very expensive unless I'm just looking in the wrong places

Thats fair enough then mate i thought they tested but no problem

Var is fairly pricey For what it does

As they don't test then i would suggest if you don't mind jabbing 500mg of test per week for 10-14 weeks then PCT ..with your diet nailed you should be back on track in no time .

I was looking into Test, tbh I've been looking into it for a long time now, just can never decide what to do as every request for someone to take AAS seems to be scrutinised to the last drop. I can say that my diets good and my training is good following a 4 day split alternating rep ranges every few weeks. I'm also 27 so plenty old enough. Just hav'nt been training for 3+ years. Also I'll a'test to knowing not much science in the PCT except it seems more is better and to have everything on hand before your first pin

Some cases i can understand why people say do more research.

I would say your 27 you eat what you consider good you can alter as you go but might be worth some one looking over it before you start a cycle .You train well go for it mate ..Start with a simple test cycle and Nolvadex for pct and you will be fine mate

I don't know wether to approach my local gym owner about what I'm thinking. Hes a champion strongman and there is some BB lads there ex comp and retiring. It's a very close nit gym and I don't want to offend anyone or look stupid myself. I have spoken about gear briefly with one guy and he was very open although he doesn't take them now he used to compete

The trouble with gym owners or the big guy in the gym is they will try to sell you something like test and deca or test and tren for your first cycle just know what you want then ask mate rather than saying what do you suggest

Yea I'd stick to my guns I'm only taking one if I decide on it. Deca doesn't sound like my thing with the deca dick and estrogen sides. Not sure about tren but I remember somewhere that it's advanced stuff.

Test.E at 500mg for 10 weeks seems to sound safe enough, with some nolva starting 14 days after last pin. Can't seem to find any 500mg vials atm only 250mg though
