For some reason the link is now down. But basically it said it will seen be illegal to import roids or hgh by purchaing over the internet etc, even for personal use. Possession is ok though, even UGL possession. Maybe the link will come back up at some point. Only have the intro to the page : American bodybuilders have long been envious of their counterparts in the United Kingdom. British bodybuilders have legally been able to obtain anabolic steroids for personal use under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (“MDA”). As a result British bodybuilders never had to worry about personal possession of steroids as long as they were solely for self-administration. It didn’t matter if they were used to increase muscle mass or to enhance performance. They have been free to buy steroids on the internet from the numerous internet pharmacies without fear of criminal repercussions. Unfortunately, this is all about to change!

This has been on the cards for some time. I did read about the proposal a while ago as our trusty govt were becoming concerned as to what internet sites were actually supplying. So in short, after the amendment: 1 - Can I posess (and use) steroids (and HGH) legally in the UK - YES 2 - Can I sell or supply them in the UK - FCUK NO 2 - Can I buy them in person from a country where their sale is legal, and then bring them with me into the UK for my personal use - YES 4 - Can I import them from overseas by mail ie. order from a website - NO, even personal use amounts will now be seized by border officials. The only difference is point 4. Not much in the way of implications for the vast majority of users who source from within the UK anyway.

good summary! Also, don't forget that the changes explicitly make UGL steroids legal! Previously, the "medicinal product" requirement had sometimes been interpreted by the courts as making UG steroids illegal. By making steroid importation illegal and making UGL steroids legal, these amendments are a blessing for UK-based UGLs and source. The UKBA will work to take out the competition (i.e. internet pharmacies and international sources) through seizures. The changes in steroid law basically tells the consumer --> DO NOT order steroids from overseas because it will be ILLEGAL, instead get them from your local UK ugl /source because it will be LEGAL

Spot on summary PB. One implication is that those who do have good sources overseas will now be forced to buy internally from either UGL or black market. Personally I would rather buy from a well known pharmacy source as I know what I am getting for sure. Having said that I made an overseas purchase some time ago and it was seized (wont go into detail). I havent been charged by the Police as yet, but could I be potentially charged if the Law comes into force? Other possible implications -More demand from UK suppliers and UGL products which could potentially push prices up?? the seizure rate for black market gear coming in via mail will probably increase?? Remember what happened during China Olypmics with HGH. Now we have the London Olympics 2012.

GH stocks during the Olypmics didnt change, prices didnt change, AAS supplies didnt change, just media reports showing ppl theyre doing something about it, when really they had no effect what so ever. Be exactly the same in London 2012.

FYI, the link is up. I was in the process of sending out an email newsletter and i think the server load results in super-slow pages loads. But everything is ok now.

Nomad1969 Having said that I made an overseas purchase some time ago and it was seized (wont go into detail). I havent been charged by the Police as yet, but could I be potentially charged if the Law comes into force? No, the law cannot be applied retrospectively. They can only "use" the law against you as it was at the time of any alleged offence

See BBC website Northern Ireland section 29/9/11. Seizures of all packages of pharma products. It seems that over here, they're using some recent suicide by overdose cases as justification to seize all meds - not just steroids

Do you really think the British Government is saying someone producing steroids in his garage is acceptable? Think again Millard Baker good summary! Also, don't forget that the changes explicitly make UGL steroids legal! Previously, the "medicinal product" requirement had sometimes been interpreted by the courts as making UG steroids illegal.
