Bean's Diet 02 March 2010 14:29 (permalink)
Hey all,

I am relatively new to power lifting. Just as a bit of history I started 4 months ago - recently suffered an injury (herniated disc in my lower back which is healing very well). I have just started a new diet - following the carb-spiking methodology. I am looking to lose weight over the next few months to lose my excess fat. I think it will be useful to post my diet down here to keep track of my diet and also to perhaps get some tips and advice from you guys.

My main worry is that I am not eating enough (as I would worry about consuming too much to lose my fat) and therefore lose muscle mass which I really don't want to do!

I will post today's food tonight.

Hope you enjoy following this,

Bean

Just to add to my intro - I train 4 times a week and on the 3 days off I usually do some cardio work. Especially when I can't traing properly due to my back.

    Tuesday Diet
10:00 (lie in) - shake (protein, oats, frozen berries, semi skimmed milk) about a pint and a half

13:00 - 3 egg omelette with turkey and salad. and an apple.

17:00 - banana and apple. (just before training for a bit of sugar)

    18:00 - training
POST Workout shake - protein and carbs

21:00 - turkey (grilled), sweet potato mash and broccoli.

Should have added in that I take fish oil. 8 capsules a day usually. Is this enough?

Yes, you should have mentioned it!
If they are the standard 180mgEPA+120mgDHA ones, 8 capsules a day is fine.
