Been mulling my lotto win over since the weekend - should I go public?

After deliberating for three days, I am unable to decide whether to go public, or not.
On the one hand, there is free champagne and a lift in a nice car.
On the other hand, there is the threat of kidnap, extortion and other bad things.
I only won a little prize - somewhere around £10million - but every time I check my balance, it seems to have jumped by a few thousand quid, so I cannot be sure.

Should I go public, or keep it to myself?

Is it ok to tell my wife and dog, or send them to work with celery sandwiches still, lest it gives the game away?

There is definitely a correlation between having cash and the number of friends you attract, that's for sure.
Much as my brain would be telling me to say nothing, I think I would have to appear on tv blowing my hooter on a tenner and awaiting all the cash-in tabloid stories from "friends" with stories along the lines of "lotto winner ate my aardvark" or "euro millionaire w4nks on maths books", some sh1t like that.

id never go public if i won an amount of money that size, no chance. id look after my closest and dearest and probably emigrate to a nicer country and live in a mansion built to the required spec of a body builder..............we can all have dreams.
