RE: Belly Busting - 13 August 2008 14:38
Went to see debt councillor this morning. Got some very positive ideas regarding the best way forward. His suggestion was for her to go to Payplan and see about doing an IVA taking into account both secured and unsecured debts. The only possible hitch would be Northern Rock, who she owes most to, not giving it the nod. The next best step was for her to sell the main family home which has around 30k equity in it, offer Northern Rock a compromise figure which they would hopefully accept rather than have £25 a month forever, then do an IVA for the rest of the debt.

She'd done a night shift last night so was dog tired and I did most of the talking but we now have something to aim at. She's gonna ring Payplan tomorrow to see what they think is best but the first step has been taken, just gotta keep her moving!

Also did some training this afternoon:

Seated Dbell press

30k x 7 or 8

Dbell flyes

25k to failure, dropped to 17.5k to failure again.

Lateral raise

5k dbell to failure twice

Tricep pushdowns

8 big bricks to failure twice

Weight rope crunches.

Stretching.

Not really in the mood as felt very tired, this mornings meeting must have took more brain power than I thought!

Brainpower takes a lot of feul!!
Well done for taking positive steps in the face of adversity. Its criminal how people are allowed into this type of debt in the first place...one of the liberties allowed by the free market...great.

I won't detract from her part in getting into this mess but how a young girl can be offered so much credit is astounding! The amount of people who have "self certed" their mortgages and are now getting into trouble seems to be increasing.

Unfortunately the UK has an economic system doomed to failure.Every country that sings the praises of the free market is struggling economically.Eventually all this boom and bust will be halted and a proper steady way of put in place were a central goverment holds the reigns on everything and makes desicions in national interests not the interests of a few getting rich on the backs of the majorities sufferings trying to live normal lives.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 15 August 2008 14:34
Nail on the head there Stef!

She's ringing Payplan today.........fingers crossed they can provide good news!

Legs today:

Squats

120 x 6!!!!!pb!!!!

80 x 10

Lying leg curl

9 bricks x 4, 6 bricks to failure twice.

Leg ext

60k x 12, I think.
75k x 8

Standing calve press

Drop set, 120-100-60

OUCH!

Well impressed with the PB on squats! Went down for a seventh rep but had to drop out of the hole as it wasn't moving anywhere! Thank god for squat racks!

Legs a burning and still pumped! Weekend should run similar to last weekend with a Saturday night shift keeping me away from temptation. Got next week off, if I get a real bad craving then I'm gonna snap my bankcard and go fishing!

Nice one mate

Got shown how to Squat properly back in November and have come on leaps and bounds since then. Everything down to past parallel, really good stimulation.

Overtime tonight, calls for a kip this afternoon. I am priming my body with 2 cans of 1664. Just had the first can to pieces to have a look at the new widget they have put in. It is about half the size of a ping-pong ball and quite weighty. I was expecting some little contraption but this is quite a find.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 18 August 2008 15:40
Got dumped by the girlfriend last night!

Again!

Every month, the week before her period, she makes a row up about something then goes off on one for a few days threatening to kill herself and calling me every name under the sun.

Now I do love her but this is the 4th time in 4 months.....We only been together 4 months!!!

I can keep putting it behind me as it kills  me everytime she "finishes" things. Last night I took her out for a couple of drinks then on the way back she suggested we have sex outdoors.....I agreed then we went looking for somewhere, about 10 minutes later it started lobbing it down and we'd still not found anywhere so I said we could leave it tonight then go tomorrow, (today), and find somewhere nice and do it there. She clamed up and wouldn't speak abotu anything, I got to her house and she starts saying that I don't initiate sex often enough. I was a bit gobsmacked as we'd talked about this a few weeks earlier and as we both still live with parents we agreed it would be difficult and we'd have to make do with the odd hotel room/outside venture.

She went totally off her head and stormed off. I drove home and she sent me a text saying she was in a park going to kill herself. I didn't say anything as, at the time, I was checking Facebook on my mobile and she was online changing her status and adding pictures of her friends!

Really not sure where to go with this now.
Did back today but can't be arsed to type it up.

Sorted things out with the GF but everytime this happens I get the feeling my future is not with her.

She got rejected for an IVA yesterday on the basis that she does not earn enough to cover the monthly payment plus her two mortgages. Bankrupcy is now the only realistic option available to her, short of winning the lottery.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 21 August 2008 10:25
She is a handful mate!

There is definatly a connection between us and those feelings, at the moment, outweight her bad points.

Did chest yesterday:

Lying Dbell press

30k x 12

Dbell flyes

20k to failure twice

Then loaded handle type pec deck machine with heavy weight and did 3 really slow "stretch" reps which ripped inner chest to bits.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 22 August 2008 14:08
Legs

Squats

130 x 3 pb!!!
100 x 2 sets to failure
60k to failure

Leg Ext

1st set all small bricks and 2 big bricks x 5
2nd set 8 small bricks to failure

Lying legs curls

9 bricks x 3 or 4
4 bricks to failure

Smith machine Calve raises

130k dropped to 100k dropped to 60k all to failure then bodyweight presses going very deep then onto flat feet to press upwards.

Pushed this session almost to the edge, legs still on fire!

Making some real progress in staying away from the sniff. Saw my mate earlier who had half an oz of it!! We were in his house, no1 else in, it was friday and I could help myself..........and I said no!

My mate had a few lines, 12:30 and he's on it  already! He's in the boozer now getting out his tattie, part of me wants to go but most of me doesn't! As mentioned in one of my earlier posts if the cravings get strong the car is getting packed up with fishing kit, the bank card is gettin snapped and I will drive out to a isolated lake and stay there till Sunday.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 25 August 2008 12:25
Back

Bbell rows

2 sets with 100k x 4reps
1 wide grip set with 60k to failure

"D" grip pulldowns, 2 sets to failure

Bbell shrugs from floor

100k to failure twice then 60k to failure.

Weighted hyperextensions with 15k

20 mins cardio then stretching.

Had a real shock yesterday when stepping on scales.......17 stones!!!!!.......WTF!!!!!!

Went for a walk up a massive hill in the afternoon and it really fuked me up in terms of cardiovascular function, was puffing out my arse!

Dropping the booze out of my life all together now, not even a qucik drink when meeting a mate. It puts weight on me and is a very potent binge trigger.

Re: RE: Belly Busting - 27 August 2008 15:43
Yes Stef 17 stone is very bad!!! Have rolls of fat on my stomach and lower back to the point I can feel them pinching together when doing a standing quad stretch!

Shoulders:

Seated Smith machine presses

60k x 10, 70k x 4

Standing Dbell laterals

10k x 5 dropped to 5k to failuire

1 set to failure with 5k dbells.

Machine Tricep Dips

10 bricks x 6, 7 bricks to failure twice

20 mins cardio then stretching.

Am gonna alternate chest and shoulders every wednesday from now to keep body guessing. Got nice pump today despite doing night shift last night and only getting 5 hours sleep this morning due to skip being delivered next door at midday! Ah well slept like a dog on monday evening through to Tues 5pm so am still up for the week!!!!

Am doing an hours walk on non lifting days and keeping diet pretty clean to help with conditioning. The GF and I are gonna tackle the hill we walked up on Sunday every other week in order to improve and gauge our fitness levels.
