Big Thankyou to all

Thanks to everyone who has got in touch with offers of support and even money following my ordeal earlier in the week. I really am quite touched by it all and it has certainly helped my restore my faith in mankind. I say mankind cos there has been a notable lack of female support! :-)

just read it....bit of drama there..I saw the title of the MT thread and fully expected it to be a 'i opened a door for someone and they didn't say thank you' thread....didn't realise it would be what it was.

The one thing I've learnt not by being burnt personally but watching others get burnt...is when people are on coke and they say they're going to pay you back...they probably don't mean it and stuff like 'I get paid at 6am sunday morning, i'll pay you then' is not believable......cokes a great drug until you run out....then everything is terrible.

I would never take anyone through my door like that, tbh even some of my old friends i wouldn't let stay at mine. Only someone i trusted 100%

Cliff notes - IB helped out a fellow forum member, guy was homeless, took him in for a week, fed/watered/powdered him, then the guy cleared off having stolen money from the flat - screwing IB over.

I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but borrowing money from your mum because you can't afford your rent before going on a coke and booze bender doesn't inspire much sympathy from me - sorry!

IB's ordeal reminds me of the whole "PizzaGate" scandal on here.

I hadn't planned the coke bender obviously!! But a guy who I knew pretty well from a forum had just been kicked out of his home and in need of cheering up. I very much doubt a game of twister would have done the trick. As as said in the last thread. I am not going to justify what I spend my money on to anyone.

My advice is when you let a junkie into your house to stay, don't go on a massive cocaine and booze bender with them and at the end of it be so naive thinking he will actually pay you back when he has just been thrown out by his girlfriend and is homeless.

That's fine, I'm not asking you to. Just my opinion is all - not trying to start an argument or anything, so I won't post in the thread again if it upsets you.

I did notice that the last thread "had run it's course" when someone didn't agree, maybe I'm just cynical.
