BodyBuilding Warehouse Premium Cassein Sample reviews

Taste -   Vanilla 3+/5

The Vanilla was quite solid tasting, albeit ive had better tasting vanilla shakes in the form of DY Tempro and Reflex Peptide Fusion, albeit these are also blends so taste/texture will be slightly diffrent anyways. Cant go wrong with Chocolate allthough Strawberry was my personal fave. Took me back to the days of the orginal Mcdonalds milkshakes minus all the crap in them. Chocolate orange had the Orange aftertase but very artificiel, so imo the weakest of the flavours.

Mixablity - Mixs good in milk, better in water. I ordered 3 vanila samples, 1 to mix in water, and 2 in milk and have to say..in just 300ml of milk it didnt mix to good at all (it is cassein afterall) so if mixing anything more then a scoop id reccomend upping the liquid content, atleast when using milk.

Useage -  Overal quite happy with the samples ive tryed, would probably pick up a tub of the Strawberry somestage to run as my prebed, good value for money and a preety good nutrional breakdown aka not full of carbs and fats and a respectable protein level from a good company.
Once the other flavour (Capuchino) is in stock I will alo look to try that somestage and will update this review then

Take 1 to 2 scoops (30-60g) of Premium Casein immediately before bed. Premium Casein can also be mixed with Premium Whey in a 1 to 1 ratio (1 scoop Premium Whey, 1 scoop Premium Casein) to make an excellent protein blend that is perfect for between meals snacking.

Good review mate . Ive had the chocolate orange i stopped liking it towards the end but nothing wrong with the product just my personal taste ill have to try the strawberry.

Yeah its not bad, drinkable but merr, never been a choc orange fan anyways lol. Cant go wrong with the chocolate, if you want to play it safe, but the Strawberry was really nice in milk, filling and just like a mcdonalds milkshake!

On a side note, you can make awesome protein pancakes with Premium Casein.....I did it a couple weeks ago and because it's thicker, it works SO MUCH better than straight whey for a nice tasty breakfast.
 

 
Here's the recipe for anyone interested:
 
Add 2 inches skimmed milk into a larger shaker, 2 whole eggs, 1 scoop Premium Casein in Chocolate, 1 scoop oats, and a handful of raisins if you'd like. Close the shaker, shake up for 20 seconds or so, then pour a little into a hot pan and wait until it's cooked on that side. Scoop over and let it cook on the other side, then pop on a plate. Repeat until you've used all the mixture. Nice and easy, and very, very tasty :)

Did the whey pancakes yesterday but added some flour to get them to cook nice

Did any/all of those flavors leave you with a 'dusty' feeling in your mouth? I tried cappuccino and it did, didn't matter how much liquid I added either :S
I normally drink ON casein but hoping to get a more affordable brand that tastes as good!
I'm thinking of getting either chocolate or strawberry, was chocolate sweet or more dark choc tasting?

Ive tryed to make protein bars/flapjacks before, they tasted okay but the consistency was never quite right compared to commercial bars (tryed diffrent bases such as cornflakes, wheatbix, oats etc)

And to Kaos,

Ive not tryed the Cappuchino so cant comment, didnt get a dusty feeling with any of the shakes, allthough out of the satchet had to shake them up a bit as some of the contents kinda became "static" like and started clumping and pinging out haha probably due to the wrapper tbh.
Id say the chocolate tasted more dark chocolate then sweet, most chocolates fall into 1 of 2 catergories really, same as strawberry. Its not overly sweet but can defo taste the strawberry, and think its perfect tbh, none of the flavours are too sweet or artificiel, minus the choc orange.

Cheers mate, now the big question I need to answer ........... Chocolate or strawberry! lol

We'd like to do lots of flavours in future, but there's so many products in development it's hard to pinpoint when everything will be released. I know we'd like to release a new flavour in another product pretty soon....just asked everyone on FB what flavour that should be lol :)

Are you still having issues with Opera now? I know we did a fix for some compatibility issues a couple weeks back, that should have sorted it. I've used this product in my training in the past. Love the taste of the Chocolate shake. Cant really say anything bad about it to be honest. Good review and a good product. Not outstanding but 'does exactly what it says on the tin' which is what we want right!!?
