Bought Lipostabil/lipodissolve injections....
-

( #1 )
I purchased a lipodissolve kit online recently - has anyone used this before? It came with all the necessary ingredients and instructions, along with needles. However, I found out that there are different cocktails. Does anyone know the best one for reducing localized fat? So far, I have used it once - yet it has not been more than one week and it says it can take 2 weeks to see results and several sessions. I'm not a bodybuilder, but I have read about lipostabil in many BB forums and am hoping someone can provide some info about fat dissolving injections. TIA

the injections are generally for very small areas of localised fat. how much are you hoping to lose? I spoke to a consultant who said they werent suited for certain areas depending on the grade and scale of fat. Where are you going to try it? Would be interested to hear how it goes....

Be interested in your results Jenna. I've hear mixed things about these injections but would be interested in direct user feedback, as I'm sure most people in here would! Please post your experiences and results.

I will - so far no bruising or itching - slight swelling but nothing major. I know a woman who used this on a small area of her stomach - she self-injected - and within a few weeks the area was noticeably reduced in size. However, she used a different cocktail than I am using. If anyone knows about these injections, or can recommend a similar product, I'd be very interested in hearing about them. Thanks!

No problem - I have been researching this for many months and have spoken to doctors in Germany who have been using this for years. I emailed one doctor that is mentioned on this site: http://www.aesthetic-lipolysis.org/index.php?option=method.php Luckily, I was able to translate some German so I can interact on message boards and emails - there are some message boards dedicated to this topic only - unfortunatley they are in German. Almost all of the people self-inject and from what I have read it seems over 80% see an improvement - those that don't are not effected in a negative way - which is promising as it seems to be very safe. Lipodissolve is totally different than mesotherapy and much more powerful - results are seen within 1-3 sessions, as opposed to many more meso sessions. I have also read on some BB forums that people have gotten nice results. I will post more as time goes on - I have not seen results yet, but it is way too early to tell. -Jenna

So far, the test areas are inner knees and outer thighs - about the diameter of a golf ball. Each injection is 2cm apart in a circular form. Jenna

It all depends on where you inject - at least for me. I have a very high pain tolerance to begin with so the most difficult spots were the inner knees closer to the bone and ligaments. I also have leftover lidocaine cream from another injury, so I rubbed that on some areas 20 minutes prior to injection (this is also what is recommended). But most of the times I just injected without it. The lipodissolve kit came with short syringes, so you are limited in depth. Each injection is supposed to be .1cc spread out 2cm. And from what I've researched, that seems to be the protocol for most areas. When I am done with this kit, I may try another cocktail to see if I get better/different results. I personally notice a slight difference in my knee area. But I never measured it prior to injecting, so I am going to measure my 'virgin' left thigh and try injecting that area next week. Jenna

Very interesting thread - I'm diabetic and suffer slightly from a condition called lipohypertrophy - basically through many many years of insulin injections, mainly round my belly button, I have pockets of hard to lose fat, even when lean. I used to inject all around my body - i.e. arms, legs etc, but to be honest, I don't like going intramuscular as the predicatbility of the injection onset/duration is harder, plus i get a little bruising. My condition isn't bad enough to need something like liposuction, though I had heard of something called liposculpting which is a less invasive form of -suction, but this dissolve thing has piqued my interest - it might just be the ideal way to lean out my lower abs again.... I'll be watching your 'journal'. Did you get the stuff in UK, or was it sent from abroad?

From the link I posted previously, that kit came from Japan. It arrived within 2 weeks after I bought it. There are other sites that sell this - but none in the US that I can find. I did not need a script or anything else - just a credit card. Surprisingly it was very easy to get. It came with 16 vials (4 of each different solution) and a pack of syringes. HTH! Jenna

I've been doing a lot of research on mesotherapy and from what I've found, the most credible studies on the compounds used have been done in Brazil. In those studies, only phosphatidylcholine was administered. The big difference between what the clinical studies involve and the lipostabil recommendations are the dosages. In the most effective of the studies, I found Dr. Patricia Guedes Rittes administered 5ml at 250 mg distributed evenly throughout an 80 cm area at intervals of 15 days. Everyone of her patients was successful. You might have better luck with your results if you increase the dose of phosphatidylcholine. EDIT: This is a POM. No source/price discussion please.

Better Information Link to study I found another study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology where the doctor used a injected .2ml into points 2 cm apart using two vials of 10ml. This study, done by five physicians was also successful.

Lipostabil is not an OTC product. MuscleTalk is not a place to sell (or buy) illicit substances. Please refrain from such postings.

The product Lipostabil®, also marketed as Flabjabâ„¢, Lipomelt, Lipodissolve and Fat-Away, is being promoted as a cosmetic in the UK and is available for the reduction of fat. Definition of a medicinal product A relevant “medicinal product†is defined in Article 1 of Directive 2001/83/EC as: “Any substance or combination of substances presented for treating or preventing disease in human beings. Any substance or combination of substances which may be administered to human beings with a view to making a medical diagnosis or to restoring, correcting or modifying physiological functions in human beings is likewise considered a medicinal productâ€. Lipostabil The product Lipostabil® is an intravenous preparation of phosphatidycholine and is for the prevention and treatment of blood vessel blockages caused by fat particles (fat embolism). It is indicated as a medication for reducing blood fat (liquid reducer). It is a licensed medicine in some European Member States but not the UK. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has determined that Lipostabil® is a relevant medicinal product and subject to the provisions of The Medicines For Human use (Marketing Authorisations Etc) Regulations 1994 as amended (Statutory Instrument 1994/3144). In accordance with section 3(1) of S.I. 1994/3144, no relevant medicinal product shall be placed on the market unless a marketing authorisation (formerly Product Licence) has been granted for it. Circumstances in which an unlicensed medicinal product may be supplied. In the UK, an unlicensed relevant medicinal product (other than a herbal medicine in respect of which different rules apply) may only be supplied in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 1 to S.I. 1994/3144. This provides amongst other things, that subject to certain conditions, an unlicensed product may be supplied in response to the order of a doctor or dentist, and on his personal responsibility, to meet the clinical needs of an individual patient. The conditions are set out in paragraph 2 of Schedule 1. In very general terms there must be a bona fide unsolicited order. The relevant medicinal product must be formulated in accordance with the requirements of a doctor or dentist registered in the UK for use by his individual patient on his /her responsibility. It must be supplied to a doctor or dentist, or for use in a registered pharmacy, hospital or health centre. The relevant medicinal product must also be manufactured, assembled, imported or distributed by the holder of an authorisation. We would draw attention, in particular, to the fact that the regulations expressly provide that such products cannot be advertised to the general public or included in any catalogue, circular or price list.

ORIGINAL: Jenna There are other sites that sell this - but none in the US that I can find. I did not need a script or anything else - just a credit card. That doesn't necessarily mean you didn't actually need a script. You need a script for steroids for example to obtain & posess them legally, obviously suppliers are more than happy to sell them without.
