Hi everyone, I've just recently broken my thumb playing rugby and haven't done anything for last three weeks and looks like I'm not going to be out of pot for possibly another six after having an op. The problem is I can't go to the gym and I was thinking that this would be a good time to concentrate on my core but I could do with some more ideas if anybody has any. Any help is appreciated. Cheers

Do plank holds. look also at pilates - yoga. all good for core conditioning. Train your legs if you can. I recently got bitten by a dog (3 weeks ago) on my hand which turned septic - was in a bad way. Still trained my legs, did heavy single dumbell press and loads of ab work. Just don't use your arm until it recovers and you should be ok --> Or as you say just do core work and when you do get back in the gym within a couple of weeks you might even find you start to lift a bit more than previously due to your body being rested.

Cheers for that. I've been looking into Yoga and haven't thought about pilates but thought it would be a good time to really get to basics on my core rather than doing nothing
