Nice one! A training partner is almost always a good thing. I think he has a fair bit of experience too.

todays mix:

A1) deadlifts: 65kgX15 ,65kgX15 ,75kgX10 ,85kgX8
A2) neutral db shoulder press: 15kgX12 ,15kgX12 ,17kgX10 ,20kgX10

B1) pulldowns: 55kgX12 ,65kgX10 ,75kgX8 ,75kgX8
B2) db inclines: 20kgX12 ,20kgX10 ,25kgX8 ,30kgX6

C)pullups , dips , calf raises

notes:
wanted to do more on deads and i easily could have pulled 100kg's but i felt my body telling me go home and eat so many times that i said i'll keep it for next time . also i did only 4 sets on everything which is too low for me.

Cheers Bro - you have mail BTW...

Too much volume for me - I train the same when I bulk / cut just with less sets when cutting...

if it works for you ;)

Most important thing is the food - which you seem to have covered TBH

What do you mean by volume mick? As there are only 4 sets all together and it really doesn't seem that much. Especially compared to what most of the people on here are doing.

Cutting - I normally have 1 hard working set per exercise.. then the other 2 sets - lower weights same reps.

Maybe I should have worded it 'intensity'

thnx buddy.

ya he's pretty well we're meeting up on thursday isa if anyone needs anything just tell me to tell him.

went to college today, it was amazing. took only 2 lectures the first was intro to management and the second was mathematics. let me tell u the school of management is filled with chicks every where. after that i kept walking in the campus checking the facilities and i checked the gym it had a cardio room and weight room the cardio room has 3 treadmills 2 bike an ergometer (yeah) and a punch bag. the weight room is all dumbells barbells and unlimitied plates with benches and a lat pulldown station and a couple of odd machines leg ext , preachers and other stuff .

A1)bench press: 55kgX20 , 65kgX12 ,70kgX10 ,75kgX6
A2)db rows: 22kgX10 ,30kgX8 ,30kgX8 ,30kgX8

B1)standing db presses: 10kgX15 ,15kgX10 ,15kgX10
B2) squats: 3X20 ,15 ,16 @ 45kg

C)2 sets of preachers ss dips

notes:
the dumbells at the gym are the ones that u have to assemble so there was a 30kg already assemebled and i thought i wouldn't need more so next time i'll make them ready before i start.
there's no sqaut rack so i had to clean the bar, press it then squat so going heavy wasn't an option so i upped the intensity.

A1)squats: 45kgX15 ,55kgX15 ,65kgX12 ,65kgX9
A2)pullovers db: 15kgX25 ,17.5kgX15 ,17.5kgX15 ,22.5kgX12

B1)bb row: 45kgX12 ,55kgX12 ,55kgX12 ,65kgX8
B2)standing db press: 10kgX15 ,15kgX12 ,17.5kgX10 , 17.5kgX8

C) dips , chins and hanging leg raises 4Xalot of reps.

notes:
1) the bench can get a little high for doing inclines so i set it up sat on the bench and sqautted the weght so i was able to go heavy.

2) db pullovers are harder than machine pullovers.

3)standing db presses are reaaly better than the seated , i felt my core dying afterwards more than the mil presses.

4) the close grip dipping apparatus that we have hits my chest better than the wide grip the wider grip targets my shoulders more.

i asked an dhe said that those were the reputable gyms with golds being the best.

why don't u come to my place we'll hit the gym near my house and i'll take u for a steak and rice dinner afterwards??

rowing started today.

ran 2.5 km and did 30 mins of steady pace ergometer work plus some bodyweight stuff.

i have to change my plan can't keep hitting the whole body 3 times per week so i'll go with an upper/lower/full scheme

great omar " eddini ranna lama tigi" *

i started a 5X5 today , iam really killing myself with this low volume

bench: 30kgX5, 40kgX5 , 50kgX5 , 60kgX5 ,70kgX4

row: 30kgX5 , 40kgX5 ,50kgX5 ,60kgX5 ,60kgX3

squat: 30kgX5, 40kgX5 ,50kgX5 ,60kgX5 ,70kg X4

not my best poundages but i have to mention that i did 30mins of high octane ergometer work and alot of bodyweight circuits so i was really done by the time i got to the weights. i'll give the 5X5 a 9 week cycle.
