Burgers - Which are best? - 15 October 2009 16:15 ( #1 )
Good afternoon all,

Just a quick question really. I know a lot of burgers (or so called beef burgers) have a lot of crap added to them and full of junk. But does anybody know any in particular which are quite lean and a good addition to my diet. I struggle for time quite a lot of the time and burgers are obviosuly quick and simple. Im obviously looking for the ones with higher protein content and less fat (saturated).

Thanks

If making your own from lean steak mince is not possible, then you can get some decent Rump Steak burgers from M&S. A little expensive though.

Also Tesco do Aberdeen Angus burgers which are something like 20g protein per burger and 11g fat, these are gorgeous, and you can always get rid of a lot of the fat depending how you cook, if you so desire.

Depends on rest of diet, mate. I eat them occasionally, more for a treat than anything else. But the nutritional info speaks for itself. 20g protein and 11g fat (some of which can be drained) is not too bad IMO, if factored into the diet properly.

i dont see anything wrong with most burgers i looked at. beef, salt, pepper, onion done. I've tried tesco they do a light choices one 4 quarters for 2.50  155 cals before the fat drips out so alot less after 22g protien. having them ok on my cut.

you could buy and make fresh its not hard, then cook and freeze.
look good naked :D
