      Ofcourse you can be!!!!

There's all kinds of vegetarian/vegan options out there in terms of protein:
      Cottage Cheese
      Quark
      Eggs
      Peanut Butter
      Pea/Hemp protein

Check the article's section, there's probably something there too :-)

Yes, plenty of vegan body builders and so many alternatives
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion.

TVP http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ured_vegetable_protein is another way you can add protein, although it's bland without flavouring, you could probably use some vegetable stock to flavour it.

I believe it can be easily done, in fact I did it a few years ago and found that even with a fish/meat diet the difference was little.  Although I was relying a lot on whey shakes.  I am looking at doing it again and in the initial phases of planning for it.  Below is a roughly sketched outline (not finished of course) of what it might look like just taking protein content into account for now stated in grams just so you get an idea.

              Meals
              Protein content

              (1)    7.30-7.40am
2 Scoops of Whey, 3 scoops of oats, ½ scoop dextrose
              50g

              (2)    10-10.15am
2 scoops of whey ½ scoop of whey oats
              45g

              (3)    12.30-1.30pm
              ½ tub of cottage cheese
              ½ tin red kidney beans
              Pasta
              Pasta sauce
              Spinach???
              22g
              10g

              (4)    3.30pm
2 scoops of whey ½ scoop of whey oats
              45g

              (5)    5pm
Toast or piece of fruit or some nuts

              (6)    8pm
              Supper
              10g

              (7)    10pm
2 scoops of whey ½ scoop of whey oats
              45g

              Total Protein

              227g of protein

As CK said hamiltonfitness (doesnt seem to be around so much now) got to a very good level and didnt eat meat or fish.
It is harder of course as have to look at other sources of protein, however no reason why it cant be done

:) i tried once, was very hard, then again if its for religious purposes i guess will power is not an issue.

Not to butt in on the thread but do vegan/vegatarian BB'ers compete, i.e. can you gain same sort of size/mass?
