IMO its like drinking egg whites

    cliche BBing

i know big les does something similar but supplements it with EFAs

    i am not a fan

i like enjoyable, sustainable varied diets that change from day to day

I tried this once......just for scientific purposes you understand LOL
Anyway after a couple of weeks i found that no matter how hungry i was (and i was bloody hungry) the sight of chicken and rice made me want to wretch. If i put it in my mouth i had to physicaly concentrate on not wretching......and the cravings for other stuff became near unbearable.
Good luck if you take it on mate....your gonna need it!

I have known people diet in this fashion , and I'd be lying if I said they didn't get good results from it

But (and I am not normally one to go "deep" ) Healthy eating is all about learning about ALL foods and using them to acheive your goals -you'll then learn how you can incorporate variety & a certain amount of crap in your diet and still progress - this will make it sustainable and healthy
What you are suggesting is that you avoid all food except chicken & rice , This is not a healthy mindset to be in, in my opinion , and is a few steps away from an eating disorder

At the end of the day ,a quick fix can be attractive , but don't delude yourself that anything you do for a few months is going to make a difference (long term ) to the way you look ,OK so in 3-4 months time you will look great , start eating normally again (after all - you are lean now , right ? ) and before you know it you'll be back to square one

I remember back at uni when I went for 2 months eating nowt but boiled chicken and pasta. I did big batches at the weekend and munched throughout the days. Needless to say I won't be going back to it - disastrous energy levels and mucho bloating! Something to note was how many funny looks I got of the ladies

i think competition dieting may on occasion call for such extremes - But as mentioned elsewhere in the thread - fat better to have a balanced diet welcoming all food types but controlling portions etc.

Balance etc is much better for longetivity and success when cutting IMO
