CUTTING ON KETO DIET!!!!! 06 February 2012 20:48 (permalink)
Hi guys

first post on muscle talk just want some general advise for cutting. Ive just started the keto diet and just wanted some advise i'm 6'4 and and around 106 kg and i'd say i've got around 22% body fat train 3 times a week and play rugby 3 times a week. Been trying to cut for a while and its not been working hence trying keto, thinking ckd type of keto for the carb up on the w/e for rugby games

my general food for a day is...

breakfast- 3 boiled eggs

lunch -salmon(400g) or chicken with rocket salad with evoo over the salad

afternoon- bcaa shake and pure whey protein shake (changing this to a whey protein isolate) and a hand full of walnuts.

then w/o ( a lot of compound exercises)

dinner - 2 chicken breasts or salmon or home made burgers with rocket salad with evoo over the salad and 2 boiled eggs.

i know i'm meant to consume more fats but struggle for ideas a friend suggested clotted cream to bring up my fats but unsure?
any advise or criticism welcome

cheers

I'd be inclined to keep the diet roughly the same but add in two more shakes throughout the day.

For increasing fat intake I recommend whole earth peanut butter (can eat by the spoonful or can be used to cook with), flax seed or udos oil (throw into your shakes) and avocados.
