Calf measurement? 21 January 2012 20:43 (permalink)
Ok, not sure where else I could've posted this so put it here!

Those bloody claves! Hardest bodypart to bring up imo unless of course you've been blessed. Most guys, from what I see, aren't though. Anyway, just wondering about proportions....just measured my calves they're a paltry....*cough*  15 3/4ins Oh the indignity!! I'm 6ft 2ins so surely this makes them even more lame!

Anyone else got any measurements for their calves off head? Or....if you got a tape it'll involve you getting off your fat arse for a moment and checking! Just looking for some other measurements to gauge against. Cheers!

    49cm (19.5 inches)

I never train calves. I think mine are largish because I cycled semi professionally from the age of 12 till i was 17. Used to do 30-60 km rides 3-4 times a week then a competition on the weekend of about 90km.

There's no justice in the world!! They do say calves are like b00bs....you've either got 'em or you haven't!
Lol, Cheers *animal* I think I need to get me a bike! (I do have a stationery one. Do about 20mins 3 times a week.)

My thighs come out right but need nearly an inch on those calves.

Cheers Smokey! Yeah I think calves are the most under worked/ under developed muscles you'll see. Everyone always seems to be training their chest/shoulders/arms but weak calves don't seem to bother a lot of people.

                Count yourself lucky DC77.
A mate I used to train with had monster calves but he barely did anything with them. I think taller guys generally don't have calves as good as shorter guys. Also guys with naturally big calves seem to had a bit of a ned kelly too!
                Not you of course though!

According to Whitesnake's calculator mine should be 13.8 inches, they are 16.5"

Never had a car until I was 22 1/2, my girlfriend from 19 until 21 lived 40 hilly miles away and I used to bike there and back for a shag 4 days a week, might explain things.  Always had decent calfs though.

Holy cow!! There's that cycling reason again! So all I need is a bike! (And your ex's number! Lol)
