carb based = less fat burnt but less stored
fat based = more fat burnt but more stored

end job. same difference

although some people do do better on low carbs, than high.

at this stage it doesn't really matter

whatever is most sustainable

This seems to be a good way of looking at it. Certainly gives me hope that a cut doesn't have to be 'completely' painful.

So, if one was to take the approach of 6 meals a day, with 5 meals of mainly pro/carbs and then the 6th meal of protein/fat in the form of say 250g Quark with Holland & Barrett 1000mg Fish oil capsules, how many fish oil caps would be needed to fulfil the body's requirements for EFA's (again, in general if its possible to give an approximate amount, as I understand this will differ from person to person)

And thanks everyone for your replies, some very informative and insightful info here...and perhaps beginning to clear up something that's confused me for some time.
