I forgot to mention I want something to measure my fitness, something that would measure Blood pressure would be a plus as my blood pressure is high for my age.

i have had both polar and garmin heart rate monitors people i know usually prefer on or the other but i personally prefer my garmin 405. it is simple to use and tells me heart rate pace mileage or kilometers not blood pressure but I have never seen one that does? it also uploads data easily by using a usb on laptop and you can see a graph of training. You can map out a plan, goals etc on a calendar and follow your progress easily but i suggest you have a look at the polar RS 800 sd too in case that is more your style

There are no heart rate monitors that measure blood pressure. All blood pressure monitors do measure heart rate, but not suitable for use while exercising, which is what I assume you want? I've had a cheap Timex HRM that has worked well for years.
