Can somone tell me which of these i will actually benefit from? 02 March 2010 23:04 (permalink)
as above really! I have been taking sci mx omni mx hardcore since november, two shakes per day with one of this used as my PWO shake.
Now i am gaining a little more fat ive introduced cardio and want to change from a mass gainer to just protein as i dont need (i dont think) the extra carbs. However this shake is an all in one thing and has lots of other stuff in it. Can somone tell me which of these i would actually benefit from buying seperatley when i stop using the all in one.
just to clarify my goal is a lean bulk.

How many these you planning on taking? if its more than 1 or 2 a day that would be alot of creatine. If im right in think 10000mg is 10grams?

That ingredient list is per daily serving- on the assumption that you have 2 shakes per day. so one shake is half of those specified ammounts....is that still alot of creatine?

10g creatine is a lot yes. 5g per day is the generally recommended dosage. There's a lot of unneccessary crap in that product. Get yourself a good whey supplement and some creatine monohydrate. Forget about the test boosters, bcaa, beta alanine, zma, etc!

Yeah the "Andro-MX-T™" blend consists of things like ZMA and nettle root extract which allegedly supposed to help boost testosterone naturally. But they most likely won't. Don't worry, it's not the same thing as prohormones or designer steroids.

10g of creatine is not that much per day. For a larger guy too def no probs.

But once your muscles have reached peak concentrations it will be too much for most. Nothing detrimental per se but a waste.

Ohh and a product that has beta-alanine in I would not want taurine in either. Not that I'd want taurine anyway.

But are taurine and beta-alanine not both found in most pre-wo formulas, No-Xplode and SP250 and the like?

Agreed.....I used to use 10g everyday just to be sure.......never had any side effects whatsoever. In fact years ago i used to run 20g a day! still no sides whatsoever.

Yep a daily dose of 20g was the norm as part of a loading phase (which is still fine to do). This was based on the earlier research and essentially a rough theoretical daily dose a 70kg man could absorb.

It's quite possible that taurine will hinder beta-alanine uptake in the cell and visa versa. Whether it makes any real world difference is up for debate.

Why? bcaas and beta alanine are two of the better researched products out there (BA in particular I think is an ideal ingredient for this type of product).

Also aminogen and bioperine are ingredients which boost the absorption of the other ingredients. Aminogen in particular is not 'crap' - it is patented in the US and used by sci-mx and optimum nutrition (and probs a load more) both of which are great brands. Agreed about the 't-boosting' part of it though, its not enough/not a suitable place to include these things (which are better on an empty stomach).

I am actually in the same situation - used omni hardcore for 3-4 months now and got a little flab (but also put on a decent amount of muscle) - I am getting creatine (mono), bcaas, hmb, beta alanine and whey (stc whey complex) if I can afford to, with bcaas and hmb being the ones I will not get if the budget doesn't allow - the rationale behind this being that I eat a lot of protein anyway which is high in bcaas.
