Local Bookers - £20 for 5kg - quality is fine IMO, not mindblowing, but far from crappy

Strike a deal with your local butcher, if you get friendly and are a regular customer you'll be surprised how much you save, plus the chicken from a butchers will usually be of a better standar. Myself I get 5kg of breast for £19 from my butcher, the same is supermarkets would average £30-35

No problem glad I could help. Also Costco is a good place to try for meats and fish if you have/know somebody with an access card. Or I you live anywhere near Trafford park you could always go when I do Regards Vapor

A local butcher is always a good place to start as already said.
I love the smell of steak in the morning...

Sainsburys normally have bags of frozen chicken breasts (500g or 750g) at half price, £1.99 & £2.99 respectively.

Was in desperate need of some so bought 15 large breasts off a butcher in town for £25, £1.60 a breast? Not bad. Could be better, could be worse...

Put up with that price for a bit then after a few weeks ask if you buy 5 kilo will he do it for the same, if anyone lives near Bury/Bolton the fresh food markets there they regularly do 5kg for £19/22. And it's a lot better quality than your water pumped supermarket jelly ****e lol

Can't beat the quality. Only problem is you stink of fish if you spend to much time in their lol.

I got mine last weekend same as you but didn't get the salmon this time as I still have some left over, got some rump steaks to. Your right though the quality is top notch, all the local farmers. Where about are you from Andy then? I live in kearsley down Stoneclough brew, you know it? And your right about the fish lol, I tell the Missus it's the smell of quality produce at the bet prices.

only thing to be careful of the frozen ones is, on the back they may say 101% chicken breast etc, or you will even find they've been processed to a degree and had soy protein injected into them. not sure about those sainsb ones but thats why i tend to buy fresh, then freeze, more of a pain to do but ... TJL500 Sainsburys normally have bags of frozen chicken breasts (500g or 750g) at half price, £1.99 & £2.99 respectively.

I'm from Adlington. About 5 mins from reebok stadium. Managed to get a large amount of steak Canadian (around 12 large pieces) for £2.50. 8 gammon steaks for my dad £5. large bunches of bananas £1. 5kg chicken breast £20. All in all not a bad shopping trip. If any one is thinking of going I would reccomend going ASAP in the morning as I went at 12 and got the last 5kg of chicken. They were still offering 30 chicken breast in packs of 5 for £20 so still alot cheaper than butchers and supermarkets.

It is an awesome place, it's about 5-10 minutes from me maximum, just down st peters way. Your probably about 20 minutes from me I'd guess. I'm going to get some more steaks this week, only got 2 left. 8oz ones. Minced beef is really cheap to, I think it's about 3kg for about £6 last I checked, really lean too
