Chins and pulldowns to much together 29 January 2012 12:36 (permalink)
Hi everyone am on a PPL routine at the min, On my Pull day i do
Romanian Deadlift
Wide grip chins
Wide grip pulldown
1 arm DB row
DB curl
Is this to much pulling an would i be over training my biceps, All is in 3x8 1st set light warm up then 2 heavy work set. thanks
NO PAIN NO GAIN

    It's fine, but you might want to mix up the chins and pulldowns with different grips.

      You could change the chins for inverted rows

        And no it should be fine. Personally I would do Rows before Chins in that routine though.

          Thanks for the feed back, i think il change the pulldowns for the inverted rows, would they be best dun before or after DB rows, i used to do bent over rows so very strong with them but my back is f""@k now an cant do them

            I'd do them after DB rows, you could even do them last after curls... It's been a good addition to my training, I used to think they were easy and chin ups were better but they work differently and they're quite tough!
