[Helpful answer received] / [List Solutions Only]
Hi im 28 in a wheelchair and trying to lise some fat , been training for 2 yrs but never commited till now im quite fit but feel my body image is not good im always concious and confidence is low im sitting down in the chair and find myself trying to pull my stomach in , just wondering if u can offer any advice , I eat about 1400 cals a day if I'm training il increase it stats are
Height 6 ft
Weight 15st
Biceps 16"
Stomach 47"
Chest 47"
Mid section 45"
I'm conscious on cals as I'm using only my arms Ive followed able bodied diets before and put weight on I eat reasonably clean as of today this is typical day for me
8am shredded wheat
9 am Core work ( limited but can feel soreness in my muscles )!
10.30 whey and oats in water
12.30 white rice , chilli con carne (weight watchers)
3pm tin tuna and banana
4.30 Rowing for 30 mins 5.5 k I've put a clamp on the seat to stop it moving works well
Pwo 5 pm 20g dextrose
6pm 6oz sirloin and small jacket
9 pm whey in water
Training will be as follows
Cardio 2 days 30 mins before breakfast
Weight 3 days
Day 1 back + biceps
Day 2 chest + triceps
Day 3 shoulders
I will also do my core as much as I can and supplement with multi vit, glucosamine , bcaa, omega 3
Points to bear in mind
1 I'm in a chair so not burning much cals during the day (
2 my arms rarely get a rest so I'm prone to injuries ( shoulder clicking)
3 I put weight on so easy
4 I'm willing to do whatever it takes as being fat and in a wheelchair is a no go
I really wana make it work

Hello mate, like you I;m in a wheelchair and first of all well done and good on ya!! Lets get you building some muscle, you body height is same as mine and your weight too, I've trained for two years now as a body builder and its truly given me a whole new life. My calorie intake is about what you are on but I take more protein from foods rather than shakes. In the first instance I would drop the shredded wheat and replace it with 6 egg whites, I would then train at 9am with weights followed by core work or cardio, alternate it.
Immediately after training have a protein shake but no oats in it ( remember you are after loosing body fat)
12.30 BROWN rice with tuna, or chicken breast and vegetables.
3pm Small piece of fruit a small amount of sunflower seeds and 75g of Greek Yoghurt.
    4pm Rowing
6pm steak, chicken or fish with vegetables and BROWN rice
    8pm 6 egg whites
I would try to train 5 days a week, take bcaa's immediately before you train and straight after with your protein shake.
Stick with this for a month, stay in touch please and where in the country are you. I'll help you all I can and you are on the best Muscle site I know of. Stay strong ! Darran "Hercuwheels" Winfield-Stanesby

You're very welcome, it's fine to train 3 days per week and cardio/core everyday, just remember you will not need as much food on the none weights days, even if your tummy tells you hahah. So drop the pre weights meal of Sunflower seeds, Greek yoghurt and fruit.
I understand the restraints around needing a training partner, for the majority of the time I train alone but its great to train with others.
I'll make a point of getting over to you and thats a promise !

So that I'm sure , I will do cardio/ core as much as poss I know I will do something every day, weights 3 days and on non weights I will drop the sugars I.e fruit yoghurt etc, morning cardio/core I will do on empty if before 7.30 otherwise my yummy egg whites on non weights day I will have mid morning whey which will tend to be day after weights on weights day shall I have 2 shakes in water 1 mid morning and 1 after weights or just after weights,
The order of my rice meals shall they stay the same everyday i will adjust them to suit if weights are at 5pm or 7pm I have boil in bag 65g uncooked = 180g cooked is this ok as 1 portion
Ur guna regret helping me with all these silly questions
            I will keep posted daily
