As the Guvnor said

In anycase the DT is being applied to the person, not thrown on the walls!
Walls???? floor maybe so I stand on a towel.

The ladies changing area at a venue where I competed last year was a shower/changing room which had previously been used by a football team. There was clumps of mud and grass everywhere I would hope that the venues banning DT are not like this one!

It seems to me that the majority uses DT so if everyone stuck together the organisers couldn't disqualify all competitors....could they?

folk dont get it on the walls on purpose. the changing rooms are usually small and folk accidentally bump into each other or rub it off on the walls as they jossle past each other.

I totally agree with you folks that if possible DT is the way to go.
When I was doing the 04 britain I didn`t want to take the chance of getting caught so I opted to use Jan tana, and if you have a couple of hours and a very helpfull other half the result is absolutely fine.
It needs to be really worked in and about 3-4 layers, allowed to dry it doesn`t rub off on your clothes so all you need to do is spray yourself with some oil backstage and away you go!
It`s a lot of effort an a real pain in the arse but it`s an answer to not getting disqualified.

I the same as you Ripped Glutes, and I know we have talked about this before, you told me not to worry about strectch marks as I can cover them with tan, but on my comp form for NABBA Hayes 22 April it said ( PLEASE NOTE DREAM TAN IS NOT ALLOWED)

What I was going to do is have a 3 layer spray tan then the morning of comp cover my self in Pro tan or shall I just for get that and use DT. THIS IS SO SILLY !! got so much more to worry about before comp, F..king tan shouldnt be one of them!!

GOAL: Competition & to yummy and fit @ 40 this year.

          lollie.

if i were you ide get 3-4 coats of protan on ya body the day before the show and the night before get a good thick coat of dream tan on......let it dry and then sleep inside a single duvet cover to protect the bed and your partner ha ha

use almond oil to revitalise the tan on the day of the show but take some dream tan with you in your bag cos i will say that there will be plenty of others sneeking tan on before they go on stage. that happened at the efbb brits. one girl applied her tan in the car park!

us almond oil and dont be tempted to use baby oil as it will go a green colour. almond oil is available at most if not all chemists and costs under a quid. one bottle enough for 2 shows.

Yep - its the beck theatre at hayes - dream tan is banned - my efbb entry form for Stars of Tomo in Nov 05 had a huge reminder that DT is not allowed.

It was my first show - i didn't know any different, i used pro tan the day before (5 layers) bit tedious but covered all blemishes and was dark as you like - just a bit of a pain as i looked very odd for about 5 days.........

Thanks ripped glutes for the advice.

Is coconut oil an option or will this bugger the above plan up?

                  Thanks Annie.

I will do the 4-5 coats of Pro Tan first and see how I look then decide whaere to go from there. I do have the added advantage of having a light /medium brown skin anyway. But this (I think) goes against me in the 'stretch marks' department.

Never mind, don't we all like a challenge.

Ugh, I would stab my eyes out with an Exacto knife if I had to use DreamTan. That stuff annoys the crap outta me! I use several, several coats of Pro-Tan along w/ the Pro-tan Bronzer. I use Jan Tana posing gel to shine up. Never had a problem and always have been just as dark if not darker than my fellow competitors. I remember one chick at last year's Nabba Jr. Nationals and she was trying to apply DT backstage and was getting it all over the damn place...she wanted help and I was like. ewwww. That stuff is nasty. Just my .02

dream tan is great stuff, but u can get just as dark with pro tan or jan tana. u get the spray on type which you start spraying on about two days before a show. get a good few coates on you and actually spray it on like you would spray something with a spray can. do not apply with sponge or whatever. just stand and let someone spray you.let is dry and wait a while before the next coat. you will look dark enough for a national level show. you would also need to apply some more after pre-judging.
