Creatine loading
06 February 2012 17:20
( permalink)
I purchased myself Precision Engineered Creatine Capsules from Holland & Barrett and I'd like to know where to start with the creatine loading phase? The recommended dosage is "Take six capsules daily (three before exercise and threeafter exercise)." but surely I require more for loading? All feedback welcome! :-)

Don't bother pre-loading. How much is in each capsule?

Loading is used to get the creatine into your abit quicker, personally i dont and wouldnt load and recommend just doing the standard 5g daily dose mate but its up to you. Without loading your creatine will last a few more days too.

Many load and many don't. Personally I don't bother. I've just had a look at the capsules that you are using and they contain 700mg of creatine monohydrate each. Therefore 6 capsules gives you 4.2g of creatine. I would generally recommend 5g per day of mono as a starting point, and the 4.2g isn't too far off that.

As others have said there is no need to load. It's no bad thing but not really that advantagous. There is no need to take around training. If you do that's fine but not really going to help.

To be honest I find people really really over complicate the simple things like this - take 5gper day and you will be sorted. Powder is a cheaper and easier option by the way for next time.
