Cutting Diet for a fatlad :-) 17 January 2012 11:01 (permalink)
Hi Guys,

Wondered if you woud be so kind to have a look at my proposed diet please.....

Ive been training around 7 years so am not new to bodybuilding and have a good routine, my only weakness has always been my diet! We had a little girl in August and have been slacking at the gym since then. I hit my heaviest around December weighing over 125kg. now its time for me to get back into it with a good solid diet plan, my current stats are;

23 years old
118kg
5ft 10
probably over 30% b/f

I have been doing the following routine since 1st jan and have now increased the cardio to 40mins at least 4 times a week.

Monday - Chest, Tri's + 40mins cardio
Tuesday - Back, Biceps + 40 mins cardio
Wednesday - 40 mins cardio
Thursday - Legs + 40mins cardio
Friday - Shoulders (+ 40mins cardio if i have time)

6:00 - Wake

6:30 - 4 egg omlette (4 whites +1 yolk)

9:30 - 50g brown rice
           1 chicken breast
           3 grilled spring onions

12:30 - 1 can tuna in sunflower oil
rocket, tomato, pepper salad......or........brocolli, spinich and peas
             100g cottage cheese
             1 fat free yoghurt

15:00 - Orange or bananna

16:00 - train

19:00 - 2 chicken breasts
            veg (brocolli, cabbage, peas, sweetcorn)

How does this look guys? any comments or ammendments would be much appritiated

Cheers Craig

    guessing cutting?

Always have protein with any feed - so the fruit on its own try and get some in there.

Hate seeing egg yolks binned even on cuts, they contain a good amount of protein.

Do also think you a re a little low on good fats and personally would lose some carbs in place of them.

Also should aim to get something in post workout too - personally I would at this point opt for your banana and a proteni shake or protein and fast acting carb shake.

looks pretty good mate i was 118kg last yr, now 83.

you may need to play with your routine/diet over time to find what suits. personally i do 3 days push/pull and 20 mins cardio those days then on non weight days 60 mins cardio. you could feel drained after a while doing that but give it a go and see. id say try and atleast build yourself up to 60 mins on the non weight days.

id also throw in a couple protein shakes, one post wo and some carbs either pre, intra or post (20g should be good - if you dont want to buy pwder/shakes a banana is good).

id add a bit more than fruit at 3pm too, maybe a protein shake?

and yep agreed dont waste the yolks, totally not necessary pal

you could even have a night snack if you need/feel, something liek cottage cheese, an ommlete, small chicken breast/salad. etc etc

      good luck

        cheers craig

Nah yolks are fine, obviously the calorie count goes higher but that can be factored in - would prefer to eat 2 whole eggs than 1 yolk and 3-4 whites.
