Cutting and maintaining muscle or at leasat minimising muscle loss 05 February 2012 06:21 (permalink)
Never done a cut before, so this would be brand new ground for me. So how do you embark on a cut and successfully achieve one without losing any or at least minimising muscle loss? Happy to post up my current diet for advice on where I could look at making changes to assist towards dropping bodyfat

Cheers

Unless you go on a very drastic diet you shouldn't lose muscle mass.

Start by simply cutting calories and cleaning up your diet alongside some cardio/conditioning work.

Shouldn't be losing muscle mass until you go sub 8% imo.

My adivice would be dont drop carbs too much lose all kinds of muscle personally doing this. I would keep carbs in to maintain muscle and just watch the calories more, also lose it slowly.
