Cutting lunch help 10 January 2012 23:44 (permalink)
Hi, looking for a bit of a tweak to what I'm eating at lunch.

Usually get a salad from the salad bar at morrisons, greens only with a few eggs. Usually add a tin of tuna to it but getting pretty sick off the tuna.

Is there any meats I could get ready cooked from there that are gonna be a decent quality replacement for tuna?

Thanks, Tom.

    Hi buddy,

You can get a whole chicken off the hot counter, remove the skin and tuck into the delicious breasts! That would be easier.

Or you could just try different fish? Mackeral, sardines, salmon are all on offer tinned :-)
I love the smell of steak in the morning...

Can you not make your own salads?  I can only think daily visits to the salad bar = expensive and a bit boring and samey after a while!

I've tried this in the past, but mine often get a bit sweaty and rank. Not that it stops me from eating them mind.

I get a decent low fat carton soup (at the moment Covent garden souper greens) & chuck a chicken breast in..

Thanks for the ideas. Like Lone Wolf my salads tend to be either soggy, or left at home when I zombie-walk out of the door on a morning.

However went today and typically the chicken counter was closed. :( But spied some flame grilled chicken breast pre packed. Don't normally go for packaged stuff, but the nutritional info's fairly good. 4g of carbs per 200g. Same with fats.

Also bought some nando's medium sauce and was much happier with lunch. Don't know why I haven't bought it before!
