lol sure chase them away while trying to towel whip em.

your pressing is pretty similar to mine. what are you long term goals then matey?

Not sure really mate, i need to get somewhere good to train first of all, i`m being limited a lot by my equipment.

Overall goal, i would like to be around 13stone cut, at 5`7.

Strength wise, bench isnt ever going to be good, ive got long arms, and my dads a crap presser too, he never got over about 120kg, but anything over 130kg would be awesome.

I`m built for squats and deadlifts, short legs, long arms, so i should get good numbers on those when i have the weight to use, plus a rack, (fingers crossed soon) deadlifts should get better with nurling on the bar too, i lift on smooth bars.

I`ll see where they could go when i get the chance to max out, my dad used to oly squat 180kg for 10, so i aim to beat him

So the overall aim i guess, is look alrite, but be very strong.

Want to be as strong as possible, but not look too bad, but the main thing is, its all got to be enjoyable, and i wont let it consume my life as it did before, its great, but too much suffers, and you find yourself thinking about it too much of the time, thats why i stopped before.

Only a couple of months back training though so i`ll see how i progress, if i dont gain strength very well, i`ll just chase size.

I wont ever use any gear either, i`d like to see whats possible natural for size and strength.

Nice rant for you there

    Back

    Bent over rows, thumbless grip.
    46kg - 6
    59kg - 6
    66kg - 6
    66kg - 6
    74kg - 4 + 1 just missed the chest
    66kg - 6

Suppose i shouldnt even be bothered about touching the chest, because i can only just do it with no weight.

    Grip

Single hand deads, conventional style, 1 inch bar, no knurling.
    50kg - L+R x 1
    60kg - L+R x 1
    68kg - L+R x 1
    74kg - L+R x 1
    78kg - L+R x 1
    82kg - L fail - R x 1
    82kg - L x 1
    84kg - R x 1
    84kg - L x 1
    86kg - R - nothing left.

Good session, happy, better than ive done before by about 10kg per hand.

Now i know where i`m at, can make bigger jumps.

Hands were coming apart, so ive just superglued them back together.

Making myself a V-Bar type contraption now, look forward to using it

Out of interest how tall are you? I`m 5`7, seems most shorter people are good at pulls.

Ye its ace for making gains, but i found myself not doing things because it would interfere with training and eating.

No i dont mate, just making it with an old bar, and clamping at one end.

        http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=blxAthmfuUI&feature=related

That shows what it is, inch thick bar and just load the plates on.

Just something else to work grip on, i`ll look at getting some grippers too soon.

I`ll be popping into your journal soon too bud, couldnt find it the other day when i looked though link it in your sig mate.

Ye thanks for ruining my theory straight away scott

I find it odd for you, because if memory serves me well, youve got a large wingspan havnt you? Yet your good at pressing.

My wingspan is 6`1 at 5`7 which is probably above average.

Ye the bench seems to be going somewhere now, next session i`ll go for more reps though.

Just wish i could deadlift and squat properly, need to get in a gym.

Mick the bricks similar height too i think, all the best people are short, we get undue stick for it though

Well, from what ive seen, grip training is best done in singles, Mobster said do what works best on other bodyparts for your grip.

So i`ll be going for max weight in singles as i did on the one hand deads.

Hope to get to a bodyweight lift on the one hand deads soon

I didnt think they were freakish long lol.

Ive just looked, and my fingers tips are around 2inches from my kneecap when i stand straight with my hands by my side ha, i think its safe to say i`m built for pulling.

My shoulders are a decent width for my height which probs bumps the number a bit, about 22inches from outer delt to outer delt, probs more, i might get someone measure them soon.

Might start a thread in general, see if theres any other chimp like people out there lol

                          Legs yesterday.

Powerclean + Front squat, usual depth about 3inches from the floor.

                          46kg - 8
                          59kg - 8
                          70kg - 8
80kg - 7 - Bar position meant i had to put it down, knew i wouldnt clean it again so left it there.

                          BB Calf raises.

                          80kg - 10
                          101kg - 1

Calus got ripped off, so superglued it back on, and left it at that.

                          Single leg calf raises.

                          R - 20 - L - 20
                          R - 20 - L - 20

Calf were really pumped after that, quite bad DOMS today in them. Rushed workout as i needed to be out.

Wore some knee suports in between sets, and all of last night as i have bad knees, runs in the family. They deffinately cracked less, and were generally less painful, so they are staying.

PWO meal was........doner meat and chips, with loads of mayo not to worry though.

                          Shoulders tonight.

What do you use mate bar wise?

I find it difficult shoulder pressing with a straight bar so normally opt for the ez.

Just a normal straight bar mate, with no knurling, its all i have access too.

What do you find difficult? Do you find the EZ bar more comfortable, or feel it in your delts more?

I have problems with my wrists and forarms and the ezs curved hand placings allow me to lift heavier by a good 10kgs.

I can imagine it being a lot more comfy, i`ll have a crack when i get the chance, does bench irritate your forearms the same?

Yer to an extent but its not so bad.

Stuff like db pressing an shoulder pressing is really crap though!

Sounds odd, is it from your wrist being bent back on itself slightly? Or is it at the side of your wrists?
