Dating an older woman

Hi, I m 24 and have recently started seeing a 34 year old.
 
I v taken lots of banter off the boys bout this.
 
Just interested if anyone has found themselves in similar position before and the advice they would give.
 
I don't mind being a toyboy,  but don't see any real future in it.
 
Suppose to be meeting her mates this weekend. I have nt invited any of mates along , as I m fearful they will offend them with their ladish antics.

Not sure what advice you seek. I wouldn't mind dating older women though. In fact, I prefer it. Not too much older, but lenient depending on who they are.

im a little younger than you and was seeing a 29 year old.

i just want to get to know her, hand out.

however by the 3rd time of meeting she had her self half way up the isle!

not saying all are like that but IME it seems that they want commitment straight away!

Because of the constant adverts for Cougartown, I naturally assume the women in these scenarios look like Courtney Cox.

I do have worries about her aims. She has a kid and because of that is v.careful in who she dates.
 
I m 24, so far too young to be tied down. I m not going to tell her that though lol

x 2 im 23 and was dating a 34 year old, and tbh it was a breath of fresh air as she could hold a decent convo, she was independent and was experienced in the bedroom... we both knew it was a short term thing but it was a very good thing imo, for both of us and we remain good friends now even though she's now in a serious relationship

It can be that way round. 24 year old guys tend to be in a different maturity league to 34 year old women. 

Not across the board of course but generally a lot of 34 year old women will find the type of boys who are still sticking spoilers on their citroen saxos and laughing at their own farts a bit tedious

if you get on then it doesnt matter

and you cant second guess what someone will want just because of their age, so saying she will want quick commitment etc is just wrong.  Maybe shes dating someone younger because she DOESNT want those things

I don't see age as a problem.

In my 33 years on this earth, I have had nothing but trouble with older women. This time round I am going out with someone 8 years younger, and it works perfectly! For me.

In all seriousness it's just a number - and whatever makes you happy.

My parents are 7 years apart, which seems like a hell of a lot when you are 18 (and the other 25!), but if the relationship works who cares.

Obviously there are fringe example like an 18year old seeing a 50 year old, the implications of children, ageing together, practicalities - but that's for the individuals to decide. I've had several friends who were 12-20 years age difference but down the pub or out for a meal you wouldn't really know or care.

nah, age dont matter.  im 36 just about 37, my other half is a spritely 23.

The biggest issues caused by the age gap is when im reminiscing the 80's, music, tv, films etc and she just looks blankly :D

Her brother was old enough to be my dad and her youngest brother was the same age as me nearly

I know of a 40 year old woman who is recently divorced and is currently seeing about 3 younger men, purely for sex (lots of it from what I have heard).
She has admitted to experimenting with stuff she has never done before.
And she is definitely not looking for marriage/kids.

So I wouldn't say they are all looking for something serious.
Just take it as it comes, if she starts coming on too heavy you can always leave it.

If she is only ten years older than you then I have to say that she's not really an 'older' women in my book.
