Well after much deliberation and BBC's insistence (lol) I have decided to partake in the unofficial shape up (start date 7th March). I have decided I really need a kick up the backside as after over a year of little training and very poor diet and advancing years I have let myself get into a right state!
I weighted myself yesterday (start date) and weighed 16 stone 1lb, I'm 42 btw, I will weigh in every week.
I won't have as much time as I would like to write up detailed entries but will do my best.
I have taken a couple of photo's and will endeavour to upload them either today or tomorrow.
Although I won't be doing a daily diet rundown here's a sample diet:
Breakfast 100g of Oats with Skimmed milk and 20g of ground flax seeds, some chopped up fruit.
Snack Nuts or seeds with fruit or natural yogurt.
Lunch 2 pieces of toasted rye bread (with Quinoa and amaranth) with 1 tin of tuna and an apple.
or
Tuna/Chicken with rice and veg.
Dinner Large piece of salmon/chicken/other oily fish etc... with either rice or pasta and vegetables or large salad.
Post Workout Fruit and quark
Training today was Chest:
Barbell bench press 6x2-15 reps
Dumbell flyes 2x8
At the moment training will be one bodypart per day reasonably instinctive concerning sets and reps and very short.
